It actually sounds pretty reasonable. Also makes it more predictable when a spot opens up.
I like term limits for everything. But they need to discuss. I would think with limits, the terms would initially need to be staggered so there arent 3 or 4 clumped together. And are they back counted on the current justices or will it only be effective for new ones?

House democrats are now wanting term limits on the SCOTUS.
I say we put term limits on congress ol yea they won't vote for those.
hypocrites.
We already have term limits on all politicians, we the People can vote them out or even have them removed from office. Not so with SC Justices, they are appointed for Life by a select group of Politicians.

That is why congress has a re-election rate of like 90%.
So evidently we are not doing a good job of it. given that congress has an approval rate of like 10%.

see the constitution on the appointment of SCOTUS.
no where does it say they are elected to the position.

The terms of elected officials do have an end date.
Not really if so Pelosi and schumer would have been long gone, and would spare the rest of us their stupidity.

Yes, really. Elected officials have defined terms of service and you can throw them out at the end of them if you don't like their performance.

True, we as voters are too partisan to hold our Reps accountable.

Correct, hence why term limits would be a good compromise, I could go with 10 years, a Decade is plenty of time.

I'm a democrat and I'm for term limits for all the branches. There's some serious apathy with some of these long termers in congress. Power corrupts.

I have been for congressional term limits for a while.
One should not have a life time career in congress.
