Why would the Democrats freak out over a possible President Trump? He, like all Republicans will serve the interests of the wealthy and Big Business, and since most Democrats are rich, they will be jumping for joy. Their “concern" is nothing more than an act to placate their base.

Sure, The Donald has been making outlandish promises white people are eating up, claiming he will make the sweeping changes they've dreamed of. But anyone with any memory knows that once elected, politicians quickly forget the promises made during their campaigns, and it’s back to business-as-usual in D.C. Our government is controlled by the fat cats, and has been for decades. With Trump as President, the fat cats have one of their own calling the shots.

With a Republican in the White House and a Congressional majority, the Democrats can sit back, relax and let the GOP take the blame for everything. The 20 million and more Americans who will lose medical coverage, the Democrats can tell them, “Sorry, you will need to ask the GOP about that.” Social Security and Medicare cuts for the elderly, the Democrats will say, “Talk to the Republicans, we have no power to stop them.” The list of opportunities for the Democrats to escape blame is endless with Trump in the White House.

It’s going to be entertaining to watch the dumbfounded Trump fans when he turns his back on them after he is inaugurated in January 2017. The Republicans will again be spending like drunken sailors, just as they did when Dubya was President and they had the Congressional majority.

If you agree with me that's fine. If you do not, I don't really care.

I don't know about the Democrats, but much the same as when Obama did, I certainly would be rather perturbed and worried, if Trump made President. We really cannot afford another one that begins without experience. That is an even worse danger than a corrupt President that might have to be impeached somewhere down the road.

The heritage foundation will get to pick 3-4 SCOTUS justices. It would be fun to see that lesson being taught, and I agree with some of what you got here, but it's not worth the price.

Of course they are, because what the Dem-establishment wants is not what will guarantee them victory.
It's all emotion-based at this point.

Yep. Looks like if Trump gets the Presidency, the GOP will die later. If he loses, it will die this year.

Either way is a plus in the long term.

That would be a negative in the long term. Obviously won't happen, but just imagine this country with unrestrained liberals running everything. I mean liberals, aka Socialists. Fast forward to Venezuela today.

You are assuming that 'liberals' are the same kind of socialists that are venezuela. There are vast numbers of 'flavors' so to speak of socialism. The vast majority are mix economy socialists, not the kind of socialism that was promoted in Venezuela. That's a different beast all together.

What happened last time the Republicans had the White House and both halves of Congress? They took a budget surplus and frittered it away, passed Medicare Part D which included a law that Medicare was no longer allowed to negotiate for lower drug prices, slashed taxes for the rich, convinced the nation that Iraq had nukes (which they didn't) and posed a clear and present danger to America (which they didn't) and led us and other Western nations to invade Iraq, and then forced us to spend up to $12B per MONTH on two of the longest wars in our nation's history...all on our "national credit card" since we no longer had enough tax revenue to pay for them!

And then, on the day that President Obama finally took over to help lead America out of our long national nightmare, we were losing OVER a half million jobs per MONTH because of the epic deregulation that fiscal conservatives - which in this case included Bill Clinton, mind you - had passed, allowing Big Finance to take gambles that no Las Vegas gambling addict would be stupid enough to take!

And you say we Dems wouldn't have to worry? Dude - we remember what happened the last time y'all had your hands on the steering wheel. No thanks.

Any person who actually has the ability to think should be freaked out at the possibility of a Trump Presidency.

No, it sure looks like it WILL happen.

The GOP will need to reconfigure itself and become a party that actually does things, rather Han live in a mythical land of tax cuts and science denial.

I’m not a Trump supporter, and I can tell you, I’m not the least bit concerned with a possible Trump presidency. It will be a nice change having someone in the White House that actually loves his country and will not try to, “fundamentally,” screw it up as we’ve seen over the last 7 yrs.

LOL

A socialist is a socialist it doesn't matter where they are.

You really think that???? Good lord. We can afford inexperience, we cant afford any more corruption. Its the corruption that's been ****ing us over. This why large governments suck so much, plenty of places for the roaches to hide.

Thats probably because you're not really 'very conservative'.

I'd have to agree with DamnYankee. A bonus is that:

Dont be silly.

Trump will not do the bidding of the Heritage Foundation at all. He's going to sell the seat to the highest bidder (under the table, of course), or, he will put Donald Trump Jr on if he wants it. His current 'list' of SCOTUS nominees was put out to help him win the election. He will ditch that list as soon as he assumes office.

The guy is a grifter, pure and simple. He will use the Presidency to amass money and power for himself, and there is no other agenda on his docket.

That's an apt description of the Clintons. We have evidence already that this is exactly what the Clintons have done in the past, so it's a safe conclusion that they'll continue on steroids if they ever see the WH again.

That shows a lack of understanding of the political spectrum and basic concepts.

I'm not too big on Trump, but the alternative is much worse. And really, no comparison to Obama. Trump at least knows how to run things and get things done, Obama couldn't (and still can't) run a Lemonade stand. No holding office before is not necessarily a bad thing either.

No- its quite different. The Clintons, and Hillary certainly, has a pretty defined word view and ideas that they will be happy to turn into power and money, much like most politicians.

Trump, however, has really no other agenda than 'making deals', and the point of those deals is to make him wealthier. Pro life? Pro Choice" Who cares? Wheres the money? Guns? No Guns? Whatever - whos' got more cash and/or votes?

The only consistent thing seems to be his dislike for immigrants and minorities, but then again, they dont have the cash, so who cares about them.

Do you know how far behind the Democrats are in State and local governments? They have been getting their clocks cleaned in the last few elections. It's laughable that some of you lefties here think the Republican party is on the verge of disappearing. You better take a look in your own backyard. Your candidates suck, and you're not doing much better than the Republicans.

I admit there probably a good chance you're right. But, in the process of courting the republican establishments support (or getting them to stop trying to sink him), he "committed" to letting the Heritage foundation pick his SCOTUS nominees. That's a very big issue that he agreed to make a very big concession on, he can try to wiggle out of it, and he might even succeed, but republicans would never let it go. I don't want Shillary stacking the panel with gun banners, but I will put aside a lot of my differences with Democrats to stop Social Conservatism, or even the possibility of the SCOTUS being dominated by it for the next 15-30 years and used as a vehicle for it.
