Go Ahead----take a minute to look at who is representing us in Washington D.C.----DOOOOO IT (in my best Homer J Simpson Voice). Well, did ya look? Anybody notice anything? Yep, 99.5% of them are pure SCMUCKS. You do not have to be Democrat or Republican to be what these guys and gals are----politicians with a self serving agenda tied to MONEY. And I have a reminder for everyone, Your Congressional and Senatorial Reps are just as bad as everybody else.
I am pretty sure most people believe that things are not as good as they could be and that we face monumental challenges in the next few years-----and long into the future as it relates to the money we are spending. I say "We", because Republicans and Democrats are both guilty of being irresponsible with the Stewardship of the Nation. Anyone who thinks the Democrats are off the hook must look at their performance over the last five years or so and be honest enough to admit their incompetence---or should I say "impotence"?
Well, as my Pop use to say, "If you lay down with Pigs, you get dirty", so it is not surprising to anyone I am sure that we consider most politicians as scumbags-----except our own. And that is where we got to change our thinking. Despite what may appear to be huge gaping divisions among the population, which is represented in the microcosm right here, I assure you that the majority of Americans have MUCH MORE IN COMMON, than we differ. The War in Iraq, the war on Terror, Deficits, out of control spending, Border Security, and on and on down the line----most Americans ave concerns over these issues. They ride on our minds because all is not right. We just spend way too much time trying to pin the blame on one another's "Party". At least for the most part. Who Benefits from that?
Division, the Us v. Them scenarios of politics play out daily on our TV Sets and in our Newspapers and the Average Joe has jumped into the Frey via the Internet. I guess human nature dictates that we will spend too much time on issues that divide instead of the ones we can easily agree on. What's wrong with us? Are we not a smarter group than to let a few hundred Bozos in D.C. divide us and make us fight over the things we all love about being an American?

I refuse to use the word Diehard, and will stop looking for contentious arguments to participate in. Everyone coming here has something in common for the most part----they Love America. I will no longer give the idiots in D.C. the power to divide me from my fellow Americans. No More----I hope.
Anyway, Politics should never be like Sports. I personally will remember that this November----we better get on the same page real soon.
