WASHINGTON

The top Democrat on the House ethics committee, Alan Mollohan, will leave the panel _ at least temporarily _ while he defends his own financial conduct, Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi said Friday.

Hmmmm so what will the Dems have when they lose the phoney "Republican Culture of Corruption" issue they tried to create? Will they be calling for Mollohan's conviction before trial ala Delay?

Do you have a source for this or do we start a discussion based on one sentence?...

It's enough for me.

We all know that corruption happens on both sides of the aisle, and is always most prevalent with the controlling party, nothing new here.

This was hilarious, that Pelosi can stick a major foot in her mouth can't she. Like when she complained about foreign Nations controlling our ports, then....:doh .....the Chinese do in her own state. Now, she believes this man is innocent until proven guilty, how very nice of her, lol.:rofl

"The attacks are an attempt to deflect attention from the long list of Republican criminal investigations, indictments, plea agreements and resignations which have resulted from the reported long-term and extensive criminal enterprise run out of House Republican leadership offices," she said.

Pelosi has about as much credibility right now as does the U.N. after electing Iran Vice Chair of the Nuclear Proliferation Commitee!:rofl

"Don't pay any attention to that man behind the curtin"

There are much better stories of corruption by this exact, same author.

Do a search on his name and look for the political contributors to Bush, and the no-bid contracts in Iraq. Now, there's corruption!

So you admit that the Democratic party has corruption to! A Victory for the reps!

Better? The top Democrat on the ethics committee running a scam to enrich his family and friends. Well I don't know what you mean by "better" but SO WHAT? We are talking about this one. Is this your initial attempt to shift the subject since the only thing the Dems have is anger at Reupulicans to offer as a platform?

A land deal involving a Democratic congressman and a defense contractor he helped receive a federal contract has come under scrutiny.

Hmmmm sounds like another Randy Cunningham to me. Looks like the Dems have lost the one issue they were trying to ride on, they are no more nor any less corrupt than Republicans. Will we hear Pelosi and Durban comdemning their own party now?

Yeah, the same no bid contracts that Clinton issued in Kosovo because companines like Haliburton are the only ones that could do the job.......If you had your way they could give those contracts to McDonalds or Burger King.....

Doh! When have I ever denied that?

The thing is I know corruption exists in our political system, regardless of party.

I'm afraid it's some of you right wingers that fail to see with open eyes.

You're quite right, Navy, I'm not in favor of 'no-bid' contracts, but I think you should look a little deeper.

No bid contracts are especially suspicious when the company awarded the contract has direct ties to the administration.

Since Dick Cheney was Vice President of Halliburton, which do you find more suspicious? No bid contracts awarded during the Clinton administration, with no established ties to Halliburton, or no bid contracts awarded during the Bush administration, with a vice president as a vice president of the no bid company?

See the difference? Or maybe you don't?

What if Haliburton is the only company that can do the job? Did you have the same complaint when the Clinton Administration gave no bid contracts to them?

Oh and when it comes to VP did you know that he donated 6,000,000 dollars to charity in 2005........Do you have a clue where that money came from?
