The allegation was that OK's lax gun laws somehow (no facts specific to this case were given) made this crime possible (easier?), yet those other areas have stricter gun control laws but even more gun crime.

Yep. We must limit "access to" guns (cars?, after all, this was a drive-by shooting), provide more funding for countless youth activity programs (after all, "boredom" caused this crime). Never, ever is it time to admit that violent morons could possibly possess free will and thus should be held personally accountable for their actions. It takes a village, full of complete idiots, to think that these "good boys" were somehow shorted by society and had "suffered" from boredom or that as long as there are unregistered guns in the US that we will have gun crime.

Black teen who murdered Australian jogger posted racist Tweets

One of the teens charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of Australian baseball player Christopher Lane in Duncan, Oklahoma previously posted anti-white statements on his Twitter feed.

James Edwards, 15, Chancey Luna, 16, and Michael Jones, 17, have all been charged as adults in Lane’s death. Lane, a 22 year-old student from Melbourne, was out for a jog last Friday evening when the three teens began following him in a car and shot him “just for the fun of it,” according to Duncan officials.

Edwards and Luna are charged with first-degree murder while Jones is accused of using a vehicle in the discharge of a weapon and as an accessory to first-degree murder after the fact. Edwards and Luna are held without bond; Jones’ bond has been set at $1 million.

Edwards’ social media activities are still on stark display and show the teen glorifying hip-hop, violence, and sex. Pictures on Facebook also show Edwards and Luna wearing gang colors and flashing gang signs.

A couple of Tweets also suggest that Edwards wasn’t fond of white people.

On April 29, he tweeted, “90% of white ppl are nasty. #HATE THEM.”

After investigating, it appears that the much more likely answer stems from gangster culture and gang-related initiation.


Update: The Herald Sun is now confirming this investigation’s analysis, reporting on the words of Duncan Police Chief Danny Ford that the teens were out to ‘make a name for themselves”.

To be perfectly clear, they will have a lot of trouble highlighting this case, because it has nothing to do with gun culture and everything to do with gangster culture and potential racial motivations against a random white kid. One such individual goes by ‘Chief Keef’, also known as ‘Lil Durk’, who is a gang-related rapper who recently went to jail on gun charges in what he called a ‘publicity’ move.

Actually, I think it has everything to do with blacks committing violence on whites. They are just extending their turf from black on black violence to black on white violence. Sadly, we have a violent underclass developed and nutured by among other things, lack of stable family, lack of education, limited IQs, unwed mothers and missing fathers fueled by gangsta rap. Jackson's early Wednesday morning tweet read as follows: "Praying for the family of Chris Lane. This senseless violence is frowned upon and the justice system must prevail."

A BBC report has police saying that "The boy who has talked to us said, 'we were bored and didn't have anything to do, so we decided to kill somebody.'" The related Associated Press report doesn't carry the direct quote, instead impersonally relaying that "Police say the two killed 22-year-old Christopher Lane on Friday to overcome boredom." The AP has not reported Jesse Jackson's passive-voice reaction at its national site, effectively covering for a statement which comes off as "Well, I'd better say something, so let's get it over with." Let's compare Jackson's reaction to what he wrote on July 15 in a Chicago Sun-Times column about the George Zimmerman-Trayvon Martin situation:

We need a national investigation of the racial context that led to Trayvon Martin’s slaying. Congress must act. And it’s time to call on the United Nations Human Rights Commission for an in-depth investigation of whether the U.S. is upholding its obligations under international human rights laws and treaties. Trayvon Martin’s death demands much more than a jury’s verdict on George Zimmerman. It calls for us to hear the evidence and render a verdict on the racial reality that never had its day in court at the trial.​

The motive of the killers was not because their victim was white, so far the only motivation or reason they killed the Australian student because they were simply bored.

That is the motive of a sociopath.

What specific welfare program that Democrats support do you think is the culprit for this senseless shooting? After school programs, food assistance, or maybe housing? Probably those pesky after school programs that aim to reduce and help disadvantaged kids from going down the wrong path.
