Hey Dark, are there any Tea Party backed members you would back?I wouldn't be so sure. Delaware has never really been a democratic state. There have been republicans as conservative represent DE before.

Or I could vote 3rd Party. The days of accepting "Well at least he's a Republican" are over. The GOP has greatly disappointed me so far this year.
Isn't going to matter. Delaware is not going to elect this woman.

According to Cook PVI, Delaware is the 9th most Democratic state, just above Connecticut and just below California.
Eh, whatever. If you're okay with universal health care being the law of the land for the rest of our lives as long as you can feel good about yourself, so be it.
"At least she's a conservative" is just as bad as "At least he's a Republican", and that seems to be what people are doing with O'Donnell. If Castle was a corrupt scumbag, or a weasel like Specter or Crist, I'd understand booting him out, but I have yet to see any evidence of that. Meanwhile, O'Donnell has not made a great impression so far.
Not sure why I'm even bothering... anyone who shows a willingness to throw their vote away with a 3rd party candidate when they admit so much is at stake has to live on a different plane of existence than I do.
What would be the sense in having a majority if someone like Castle would vote against repealing the HC bill or would vote for a cap and trade. We'd still end up with the same results, only they would be called bi-partisan.
That makes no sense at all. A moderate Republican like Castle would vote conservative maybe 50% of the time, and probably more than that. Coons, the Democrat, would never vote conservative. That's the choice here. O'Donnell could never, ever win in Delaware, so the choice is either compromise with a moderate or let a Democrat take what had up to now been a safe GOP pickup.
Extremist conservatives are no different than extremist liberals... both think that you're either with them, or against them, and there is no in-between. Unfortunately, there may be enough of them in Delaware to blow what had been a semi-decent chance for the GOP to take the Senate. Hopefully they'll come to their senses and nominate Castle, though.

Speaking only for Delaware, there's no way a tea party candidate is going to be elected. They elected this "Dem-lite" as many people are calling him for a reason, and that reason is that his polices are in line with what they want to see in a politican. There's no way people are going to change that much, that fast, and elect someone almost totally opposed to everything they want.
He might as well be running as the Communist candidate.

A political party, by its nature, wants some degree of sameness however its members should be keen to local politics and local differences. So there's room in the Republican party for varying degrees of leftism and rightism, even though as a whole the entire Republican party is to the right of the spectrum. However what I'm seeing recently is a movement by many to decrease and decrease the differences in political opinions among members of the Republican Party or the conservative movenment in general including the Tea Party and Republican party.
Now thats all just opinion, there's no way to factually say the Republican Party is becoming too narrow in its focus, its all just opinion and perspective. However thats my concern.

The GOP has been far far too close to the "center" and as a result the nation is falling off the left edge of the table. Shooting RINO's is the best way to move the party to the Right, where the Americans are. Absent that, kicking them out of office is good enough.
Well its all opinion based on where one's personal views are, however it the American people were truely where you said they were than the Tea Party would be much bigger than it is, and the Dems wouldnt control the three branches right now.
Its supposed to be the "Grand Old Party" big, proud, and diverse, all I've seen is an attempt by many to boot some of its own members because they aren't 'conservative enough.' As in, there's no room more moderates, something thats become a dirty word.

Biden also lifted words from Bobby Kennedy’s speeches — paragraphs that political junkies prized so much they knew them by heart.
Anyone following the primary campaign in 1987...

There were a number of lies in this outburst and it was not long before they too were enumerated:
• Biden got in trouble in 1965, during his first year in law school. He wrote a paper in which he lifted five pages verbatim from the Fordham Law Review. He was given an “F” in the course. He managed to avoid being bounced from law school, retook the course and earned a B.
• He claimed that he was “the only one in my class to have a full academic scholarship.” He didn’t. He did have a half scholarship that was need-based.
• He did not graduate from law school in the top half of his class. He graduated 76th out of 85 — and he was near the bottom of his class all three years.
• If he won the moot court competition — and he claimed at the time that he actually did — he did not put it on his resume, surprising for a man prone to so egregiously exaggerating his accomplishments.
• He did not win the award for being the outstanding student in the political science department at Delaware, and he graduated with one degree, not three. He had a “C” average and graduated 506th in a class of 688.
There are other weird outbursts by Biden in more recent years...
