Deegan threatened to call me out

Alright, lady and gentleman. Why the harshness of words? Can't we just get along nicely?

deegan, please don't yell at jumbledtelevision. She's a very nice and wise person and deserves some respect.

Your attempt to handle it privately involved threatening to start a thread in the Basement. If you you were afraid to follow through with the threat, if you did not want to have thread in the Basement, you should have kept your mouth shut.
Or, failing that, you could have simply stayed away from the thread. I left you a face saving way out in the OP. Yet you chose not to take that either.
And now, because you ran your mouth w/o any intention of backing it up, you're here whining.

I gave you two options, one was to clear this up in private, the other was starting a thread in the basement. You then jumped the gun, started a thread first, and shared a P.M., this was your choice, not mine. I asked you to explain yourself, as I find you to be an arrogant little prick most times, and I wanted to be clear about that, I now see I am indeed correct. The only one "whining" here, is clearly you sir, as your whiney little thread title indicates, "Deegan threatened to call me out" boo f**king hoo!:roll:

As I interpret it from the PM excerpt, your latter offering above was more of a subtle threat than an honest option. In simple terms, you were preempted.

I have had an issue with Simon from the very moment I arrived here. I made an attempt to clear up this matter, and hopefully resolve these hard feelings through a personal message. It was then made public, so I can't really understand where you are coming from, and calling me the "buffoon"

So either you have reading comprehension problems, or you are being an obvious moderator kiss ***? Which is it miss?

I actually see where you are coming from, deegan. The monkey on your back is Moon, while the monkey on my back is galen. Except that galen really is an *** hole. a stuck up bastard who thinks he's better than everyone.

I saw him write on here that he is a bully. The thing is though he just doesn't have the balls to talk to me upstairs the way he does down here. If he said the same **** to me upstairs as he does down here then not only would his Mod privlages be taken away, but he'd also be banned or at least put on probabtion. In other words, he's a *****. Galen's got to hide down here like a scared spider in his spider hole.

Now with Moon, I actually see what you mean. You gave him the choice of PMing or starting a basement thread, and instead of getting back to you on it he just starts a thread. A little rude in my opinion.

Yes, so I attempted to confront the problem, and to do so in private, I have no reason to be ashamed of that. I just wonder why you're all up my *** here miss, I'm not the jerk who took a private conversation, and plastered it all over this board for all to see?

Actually, the options offered were "do what Deegan says or Deegan will start a thread in the Basement."
I've no affection for being threatened (esp w/ silly stuff like Basement threads). So I made a choice to take the air out of your threat. If a Basement thread was gonna be such an affront to you, you shouldn't've used it as threat.

I don't know why everyone is acting as if there was something else I could have done here. You were wrong to start this thread, we could have handled this like responsible adults, and in private. All you did here is to prove I was correct about you in the first place, you're a jerk, and that is all I wanted to say to you, I hope you work on that.

Actually, he gave me the "choice" of doing what he told me to do or he would start a thread in the Basement.

You can call it a choice if you like. I guess it technically is one.
 

You confronted the problem with with a threat? Sorry, Deegan, you just don't come off well as the ingenue. You're the jerk who was drinking and thought you would start some **** with a mod through pm. Which is fine - whatever. But then you want to own the moral indignation when it backfires on you? Sorry, but I'm not going to sit by and watch you strut around like you pulled off some kind of moral victory against a mod that you now admit you have long-running animosity for.
