If the allegations are true and a jury convicts then I believe that the death penalty is well earned. How about it?

BREAKING: Two illegals arrested for gang-r<>ping a 7-year-old girl could face the de*th penalty

The father of the victim, Josue David Mendez-Sales, 26, and Pablo Neftaly Cobon-Mendez, 23, were arrested in West Palm Beach and charged with s*xual battery

Both suspects are originally from Guatemala

AG James Uthmeier said the State Attorney for the 15th Judicial Circuit is expected to seek the de*th penalty

The victim told police that Cobon-Mendez molested her "every day."

Mendez-Sales admitted to s*xually abusing the child approximately five times over the past three months

He claimed he was intoxicated during each incident and could not remember the details

He also admitted to hitting the child with a belt

Both suspects are being held without bond at the Palm Beach County Jail

If that were true then there's a good chance you'd want tRump to be tried, sentenced, and executed. Unless you're one of those that believes that pedophilia from some is OK.

As for the OP, I am probably against the death penalty 98-99% of the time, and I believe in measure for measure. If we're using the justice system for vengeance, which I don't approve of, then death isn't an appropriate punishment for rape, no matter how despicable the act - and there's no denying these are despicable acts.

Life in prison without parole should do the trick. Not that I advocate it, but people who insist that these two get the ultimate punishment (assuming they're found guilty) can take comfort in the fact that these will be marked men in prison. There will never be a day when they're not looking over their shoulders.

It's the damnest thing isn't it?

I use to start many threads about who was raping our children (turns out it was just mostly straight dudes like cops and pastors and firefighters, etc) and those threads got no traction. One MAGA here told me those were LOCAL issues.

This one will blow up though (and those guys are just as vile).

Makes one wonder if the children being raped is really the issue.

Sometimes, I feel as though individuals are more interested in handing out “sentences” based on who perpetrators of crimes are versus what the crime itself is.

Immigrants raping children = death penalty.
Rich men raping children =

Trump and Epstein prove Trump is a pedo, which is why Trump won’t release the files,
you have no evidence
all you have is far left accusations and crazy conspiracies

Thinking they deserve death is different to supporting the death penalty.

I'm pretty sure there is not a punishment that would serve to give them the hell on earth they deserve. If you need someone to trip the switch on the electric chair I'm available. For a man to do that to a child, for a father to do that to his own daughter makes him the devil incarnate and he shouldn't be executed too soon. Let's first let him have a decade or two in the worst prison we can put him in. Even inmates have a social order and child offenders aren't well received. Wonder how these two pieces of scum got into this country. Wonder if they came claiming asylum or just broke our law by jumping the border an then were allowed to remain.

What difference does it make?

Murder already carries the death penalty in many states. Killers know they take that risk and are still willing to kill for whatever reason.

If lesser crimes carried the same risk then perpetrators would have an incentive to go all out and kill the victim on the chance they won’t get caught. If they were going to be executed anyway...

So that would just make anything less than murder more likely to turn into murder.
