I guess that was supposed to protect us from a nuclear disaster but why would we be told to hide under a wooden desk that would be fuel for any nuclear fire? Anyway....

People like the OP don't have a clue what women endured for the entire history of civilization. Even in the more modern era of post WWII, women always held the ****ty end of the equality stick. Women wore aprons, imagine that? Just like Beaver Cleaver's mom, June....she lived with an apron tied around her waist. When women complained to their husbands about something they would more likely get "shut up and go get my coffee already". Women had as much power and dignity as a piece of lint on someone's sweater.

I stepped out of that prison more than my girl predecessors. I took a job (under the table) for .50 an hour working in a printing business. As soon as I was 16 and got my 'working papers' (yes we had to have those to work) I got a real job and made real money $1.50 an hour. As soon as I turned 18 I moved out of my parents home to live on my own.

Boy-men that are still living in their parents spare room or basement and waiting tables at Applebee's are usually the ones who will shake their fists at women, the women that only want the scales to be balanced and equal between men and women. But I have news for women too, it's not likely that in any of our lifetimes that women will really be considered total equals. But there's valid biological reasons for that, men are just physically stronger. Although women are catching up with that too because they're larger than they were during my times. The average woman was around 5' 4" tall and now it's closer to 5' 7" tall. Some women are into fitness and into preventative health care. Hopefully their incidences of breast and ovarian cancer will help abate the numbers of women who die of cancer.

Anyway, men should stop with the 'boo-hooing' already and just make the best of what they have and try to make that better.

We aren't talking about the 50s. We are talking about today. And if most feminists were in their 60s and 70s you'd have a point but most of them are actually younger than me and have never dealt with such hardships.

Education scores among boys have been declining for decades, especially in the math and sciences department. Girls consistently outperform them. At first, equalization looked like giving girls more of an opportunity to demonstrate that they are as effective as boys in these areas. The next step of equalization is to figure out why boys are under performing and correct that.

The anti-feminist arguments are overly simplistic, as usual.

With girls the issue was lack of equal opportunity, so they created grants, scholarships and programs to encourage girls to give it a try.

With boys the issue is competency of skills, an area that remains largely unaddressed. Boys have ample opportunity but they under perform. It might not have been possible to see this disparity back when girls were kept out of the sciences because the "boys club" mentality created an artificial ceiling on achievement. What girls have shown us is that the ceiling is actually much higher than we expected.

The other stuff mentioned in the OP is bogus. It all goes back to reproductive priorities and childcare, which men statistically avoid their fair share of more than woman. People should really not be having children that they aren't 100% certain they don't want to care for.

Jobs and money relate to skills and talent, which goes back to the education piece.
