An unnamed corporation owned by a foreign government cannot avoid a grand jury subpoena in a case that may be tied to special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation, according to a court decision on Tuesday.

The D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the subpoena of a mystery witness in a sealed case that earlier this year stirred speculation about a possible relationship with Mueller's grand jury.

According to the decision, an unnamed corporation owned by a foreign country, known only in the opinion as “Country A,” tried to quash the subpoena, arguing it was immune from criminal proceedings under the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act and that subpoena is unenforceable because it would require “the Corporation” to violate “Country A’s” domestic law.

Talking heads agree; a bank. They are leaning to three countries; Russia, China and KSA. Apparently Trump has large ties to Chinese money as well.....

Nick Ackerman on MSNBC said it most likely is a foreign bank owned by the country..... Russia or China most likely.

Its 1 double edged sword because I do understand the need for secrecy under certain circumstances for an active investigstion.

However once its complete we need complete transparency and it needs to be reviewed with a fine tooth comb to ensure no abuses of power.

If any are found they need to be held to the highest level of accountability.

That imo is the check to that level of power. Sadly that accountability is also what we seem to lack

The press is getting more and more like my 90 year old mother-in-law with the "Oh my gosh" gossip that they continue to write.

I have no problem reporting the facts - as Sergeant Friday used to say: "Just the facts, Ma'am.". However, the speculation and innuendo is getting damned tiring.

And, the media wonders why we don't trust them that much anymore.

The panel said the corporation would have to pay $5,000 a week for failing to comply with a lower-court order.

Speculation is fine as long as they don't say it with certainty and fact, but most of the time the MSM does not sway too far from what turns out to be truth in their speculating. Now, Fox News on the other hand....
