Dateline "To Catch a Predator" (1 Viewer)

Has anyone seen any of these specials? I saw their 4th edition this past Wed. Apparently they are going to run three more episodes in the next three weeks. I also went out to the Dateline website and saw all the videos from their 3rd edition.

Apparently they hired a group called Perverted Justice who runs a website pretending to be teenage kid in chat rooms and wait for these pervs to hit on them. Then apparently they post their pictures and chat logs to their website. Their website explains it much more in detail.

Anyhow this Dateline special shows these idiots showing up at this house expecting to have sex with a 13-15 year old boy or girl, and instead they get caught on camera and interviewed, then when they leave they get arrested. It would be more funny if it wasn't so sick, but some of the reactions these guys have when they get caught is priceless.

I saw it about two months ago. One 'man' (I use the term loosely-creep would be better), not only showed up at the house and was confronted, later on he showed up at a MacDonald's and was confronted again!
Among the creeps who came expecting sex: a rabbi, an english teacher and a pediatrician, fergawdsakes!!! Of course, the rabbi and the pediatrician claimed they came to 'help', not for sex. Later the rabbi admitted to his 'problem'.
These people are great to be doing this to help catch those sickos. Unfortunately, there are way too many sickos to be caught. My daughter and her friends were 'approached' through AIM by someone who kept changing his nickname; once I found out about it, I demanded that the only ones allowed on her AIM were kids from school and I periodically check out her Myspace page by having her log into it and showing me.

I remember that guy he was the one who came in the house naked also. I also remember how that rabbi flipped out when he saw the cameras. Over at the Perverted Justice website they have some recommended software that will actually keep logs of what your kids are doing that you can retrieve and review. Being in the IT profession I have my kids computer set-up so certain things he cannot do, and I know his passwords to everything. It is scary when you think of all the sick pervs out there who are looking for your kids. Just makes me sick.
