Great on the Czech Republic.

In fact Milos Vystrcil of the Civic Democrats in the Czech coalition was reelected Senate chairman last year with 73 of 77 votes, the number 2 position in the Czech government. This was after Vystrcil exploded heads in Beijing when he became the first foreigner to address the Taiwan parliament, in 2020. "I am Taiwanese," Vystrcil said to a standing O by the self governing Taiwan parliamentarians in the chamber.

Taiwan's Foreign Minister Joseph Wu will visit Slovakia and the Czech Republic next week neither of which has official ties with the independent self governed island state.

Wu will deliver a keynote speech at a conference organized by a think tank in the Slovakian capital Bratislava on Tuesday and then travel to the Czech capital Prague where he will visit its mayor, Zdenek Hrib, a strong supporter of Taiwan who scrapped his city's sister-city agreement with Beijing in October 2019 over Chinese pressure to recognize the "one China" policy. Wu will also receive a medal from Vystrcil.

Wu's coming visit occurs as European countries are reorienting their ties with China given Xi Pingpong's belligerent and bellicose assertions of China that are turning the world against both Xi and the CCP-PRC. There's more warmer elations with Taiwan being organized by EU member states.

Taiwanese parliamentary Speaker Yu Shyi-kun said the Czech delegation’s visit was an affirmation of Taiwan’s continued presence on the world stage as well as a repudiation of authoritarianism. “On one hand, (Vystrcil’s) visit is proof of the existence of Taiwan. Proof to the world that Taiwan exists,” Yu said. “At the same time, the visit makes me feel that, no matter whether it be the governments and peoples of the Czech Republic or Taiwan, we all have one thing in common, we both fight against an authoritarian regime and mutually create a future.”
