Randy Cunningham, the republican congressman representative of the San Diego District who plead guilty to corruption of $2.4million dollars is likly to get 10 years of prison time.
This is absolutely absurd. I don't understand why it is that politicians get such slap on the wrist sentences, where in contrast your everyday criminal robbing a store of a few hundred dollars at most a few thousand dollars will get thrown in jail for a time factor several years if not decades longer.
What these politicians, democrats and republicans alike, do is far far worse than your average criminal. Not only are they ripping off money from you and I, but they are also causing great harm to society as well. Thier decisions and the outcome of thier decisions has incredible impacts on us, much more so then the guy who jacked the 7-11 down the street.
Worst of all is they do so in broad day light behind the viel of doing good for the country.
Dispicable.
