It's amazing in this day and age, that people believe someone has to BE THERE, in order to make a phone call, to help.

I am not his constituent and his actions surrounding his state's catastrophe don't affect me at all. So I have no dog in this fight.
That said, maybe his constituents have a reason to be pissed, and if they are I'll support their right to hold him accountable.

I find Senator Cruz’s flight from Texas during its period of severe hardship appalling. His throwing his daughters under the proverbial bus for his bad decision displays an inability to take personal responsibility for his choices. He’s supposed to be an adult. He could have chosen to stay behind while the rest of his family left. His daughters bear no responsibility.

Portable chargers for your cell phone... They have them all over Amazon for about $20... I got 2 of them, charge them up and they stayed charged for months. When needed they will charge your phone 5-6 times before recharge. They also will charge any other small toy, bluetooth, iPods, etc....

Buy a battery powered radio just in case... Everyone should have 1...

I hate to say this but you are proving some of your Republican politicians right, some people don't seem to want to prepare for emergencies and help themselves.. As 1 of the Texas mayors said, get off your lazy ass and help yourself.. His words, not mine...

What is there to justify? I mean holy **** you people are acting like A. he caused it, and B. he can fix it personally.....
