An Australian man has taken himself to hospital after a venomous redback spider bit him on the penis.
The tradesman was using a portable toilet on a Sydney building site on Wednesday morning when he was bitten. Link.

Ouch!

Apparently bites on male genitalia (causing death) used to be quite common until indoor loos and then antivenom where introduced. You do wonder though - I'm VERY careful and attentive where I point my genitals and anything unusual within 10 metres is something to either stomp or run away from so how these guys weren't noticing?

That's certainly and elegant little bugger.

Wouldn't be the first words out of your mouth if you met one in unfortunate circumstance.

I'm checking under my desk as we speak. Yeesh!

It has to be said, but those dick biting monsters, they're female. The males are little defenseless things.

Maybe the last?
Though, it seems like the poison is slow.

If you object to that spider doing that are you homophobic? ;)

I wouldn't called being bit with life threatening venom on the genitals to be "on the lighter side" type discussion :p
