Until now, an anti-viral drug to treat Covid was paid for by the government and given to patients without charge. The price to the government was $530. Now, that's ending, it's becoming a 'normal' drug i the system, and the price is being raised to $1,390. Great system. It had been expected to go up, to as much as $5,000.

I bet Pfizer won't be charging $1,390 for it IN ANY OTHER COUNTRY.

They've gotta figure out SOME way to profit off of Covid, now that hardly anyone wants the vaccine anymore.

Yep, too bad for people without insurance or with high deductibles though
Esp for those who desperately need it.

Cool... So basically... NOONE will pay anything close to $1390? Or only insurance companies will? Wonder how much people would pay on high deductible plans - those prices could also be very much negotiated.

It is in the article, iirc.
