The Supreme Court has just ruled that Oil Companies must pay royalties which have been unpaid for more than 8 years. The vote was 7-0, with 2 justices recusing themselves. Judge Alito wrote the opinion.

On what ground did these guys think that they needn't pay the money? Total waste of taxpayer money so that the companies could pay with interest - pathetic. Any interest being charged on this?
