Coup in Niger

It's not a trend. It's been happening for 70 years.
 


That should about seal the fate of the President. That is unless France choses to intervene. But then that would be going back to the Cold War days when French policies in the ex colonies were much more muscular and interventionist.

I have a feeling things are fast going back to the Cold War days. It is one thing the nations having their own coups. It is also another if it is a case of Russia picking up chips in CAR, Niger, Mali, Burkina Faso etc... it then becomes the business of France, US etc

Berlin has ordered the withdrawal of all German peacekeeping troops from Mali by the end of 2023.

They are being replaced by Russia's Wagner terrorists.
