Country Music Awards have caught the SUCKS now too.

Last night's ACM awards show sucked.

I usually like the country music awards shows because they're usually more about the music, and less about all the rest of the crap that other awards shows are about.

Well, not anymore. :doh

Way too over-produced. Trying way too hard to be funny. Trying way too hard to be like other awards shows. Too large a stadium so it lost the intimacy of past shows. Too much back-ground crowd noise.

The whole thing was just a huge disappointment.
Even Martina McBride sounded completely awful.

I stopped watching award shows, including the Oscars, years ago. I did catch the very end of the AMC Awards, though, because it was carried by my local CBS affiliate, and I was waiting for a weather update after all the hail yesterday afternoon. And what I saw was Alan Jackson in fine form, Brooks and Dunn with Ronnie Dunn nailing those falsetto notes on "Maria," and Luke Bryan winning "Entertainer of the Year." So the rest of the performances were just meh?
 
Did a homosexual front-man strip down to his undies?
