Could Trump Win Another Election?

Could Trump Win Another Election?

I think the bigger fear is that, if he runs, he will continue with the Big Lie about rigged elections etc and when he loses he will cause the same type of chaos to ensue as he did this time. Loyal Trumpers having shown how easily they can be manipulated, convinced of untruths and brought to violent actions. Trump has caused enough damage to American democracy. Allowing him to run again, win or lose, will just continue the destruction.
Well , I think the election was rigged, but that aside most of his support have behaved impeccably...small groups of any support base can get out of control...let’s think...who has been trashing American cities for most of last year....

In four years Trump will become popular among the Republican party as Bush, Romney, and McCain became.

Trump will go down in history as the most dishonest con artist to ever exist in American history.
Still more popular and honest than Biden then....

In the House, they did very well compared to what people were expecting. That's the only one of the two chambers where that occurred. But, certainly in the House, the GOP did far exceed expectations.

That was due to the Trump effect. When Trump is running, Trump supporters come out in record numbers. But Republicans lost 2020 by all measures, but it wasn't a route.

I find it hard to believe Trump could ever win again, but baring him from running is more about simply not subjecting this country to that garbage again, and making it clear in no uncertain terms that his behavior and the behavior of his lunatic base is not now nor will it ever be acceptable. If you are not willing to respect the will of the American people then you do not get to run for office in the first place.
If you are not willing to follow our nation's laws then you do not get to be in a position to radically alter them.
There is no way could win, but we have seen candidates who have no chance to win in the general election get on the ballot because of the activism of their supporters during the primaries. In 1933 the Naizis got less than 44% of the vote and two weeks later Hitler became dictator. That happens sometimes when minority parties form coalition to form a goxorning majority I really don't think he will run again but that might be just wishful thinking. .

In other words, you want to subvert the will of the people. If they want to elect Trump again then we have to put a stop to what the voters would want.
republicans are already working to subvert the will of the people next cycle...trying to do away with mail ballots, trying to limit drop off sited for mail in ballots, trying to restrict voting to in person election day only...trying to disenfranchise many who voted this cycle because they didnt like that more people participated , did not like that more people of color participated.

He probably will. Trump made his name in politics with Birtherism, and ran on conspiracy theories in both elections he faced. The conditions that enabled that are still around, and it only stands to reason that if he has 4 years to build more support he could very well secure the nomination. It all depends on Biden taking a proactive stance to challenge the perceptions of those that support Trump, and support them back into, at least, the Republican mainstream.

OK, we've got Democrats fighting hard to impeach Trump in order to bar him from ever holding office again (not likely to happen). If that doesn't work they are also looking at censuring Trump.

"Their attention has focused on Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, a rarely cited Civil War-era amendment which allows Congress to bar individuals from holding office if they have “engaged in insurrection.” A resolution to censure Trump would require a simple majority vote to pass in the House and Senate."

So, are democrats so afraid that Trump could actually win another election?
If democrats didn't fear him they would not have wasted all the time trying to get rid of him for 5 years. They fear him. He isn't a swamp creature, he doesn't play by the globalist rules, and he isn't tied to the Chinese or Russians or Big Tech or other power brokers and that's what they don't like. He's not one of the Power Club. The answer is to reelect Trump and vote out the corrup, globalist and the communist and socialist and marxist.

Your fellow Republicans are far more afraid of Trump than Democrats ever were.

He wasn't charged because he had presidential immunity. Now the charges will come fast and furious. Visiting hours in prison for your boy be limited so get on the waiting list ASAP.

You guys are pathetic.

When Trump wins in 2024 will he be impeached again?

Joe Biden won the way the Russian basketball team won the 72 Olympics. Extra time periods, crooked officials, someone to cover it up.

Australia banned Trump from owning a casino because of his criminal mafia connections back in the day. How did he ever become a candidate?

Trump will need to be alive in 4 years, he is 74 years old and eats nothing but junk food and doesn't exercise.

Also 4 years is a long time in politics, he may not be able to keep his momentum for another 4 years. I also think the Jan 6 riot hurt his popularity with swing voters and people in the suburbs, the base still loves him, but people outside of it do not.

I think Trump got lucky in 2016, but that moment has passed.

They are making a point to anyone who thinks the rich and powerful do not own both parties and our government. Someone can run other than their party puppets and even possibly win. However the rich and powerful are in charge and don't rock their boat.

Trump really stuck it to those rich guys when he gave them a giant tax cut.

The democrats are mortified. They know he can win another election. The question is whether their brain is so clouded with Trump living in their heads rent free that they actually attempt to bar him from future office by way of the 14th amendment.. The 14th only needs a simple majority in both houses, but would then have to stand up to challenge in the real court system where the charges of incitement and insurrection must meet a high standard....and it will jurors or grand juries, not politicians making that determination

That's okay, SDNY is coming after him in March over his taxes.

This is never going to end.

Which the best lawyers a billionaire can hire will quickly dispose of. And at this point the SDNY is entirely politically motivated. It's a witch hunt desperately looking for a crime.

Of course he could win another one, all he has to do is focus on about 6-8 states, have the local officials suppress the vote and he would win on EC votes again. He will never win the popular vote though, I believe no Republican will ever win it again for a long, long time.

They're scared to death of him.

Now?

No.

He alienated too many real republicans. That's like 20% of the republican party.

.

It's not republicans that matter. It's conservative voters. I am a Trump supporter who voted for him in 2016 and 2020, yet I have not been a republican since 1989.

I think it is the responsibility of every American to do what they can to insure authoritarian rule never returns to our office of the President. Four years of trump ripped this country apart. We simply cannot allow another trump to ascend to power.

The only authoritarian aspect was the looney left spending nearly Trump's entire term attempting to remove him from office.

I got a tax cut and I am not rich. Of course the democrats will take it away the way they always do.

Then there's DC, and then Georgia, and 24 rape victims, and....a lifetime of litigation.
