If he were truly working for the working class, he would abandon his insanely stupid quest for a 15 dollar an hour minimum wage, which would in the long run destroy the middle class. The first result would be massive layoffs. That would be followed by an accelerated effort to automate many jobs out of existence. And ultimately the resulting cost of that more then 100% increase in the minimum wage would be the cost of goods and services would rise to the point that the raise is meaningless. And Bernie does not really care about the minimum wage worker. His base is the labor union worker who is already making well over that $15 dollars an hour but would by union rules get a corresponding increase in their wages. Bernie's goal is to turn the US into a socialist nation, along the lines of Venezuela abd Cuba, both of whose economic systems, he has praised.

Every boss I ever worked for gave us raises when the business was making enough money to do so. Otherwise I quit and went to work elsewhere. Of course every time the democrats increased taxes my boss usually informed us that our raise had gone to pay those taxes. Government got raises and the people paid usually by not making more money.

Oh really, they have higher minimum wages in countries like Canada and Sweden, none of them saw their economies destroyed because of it, a Big Mac is not going to cost 50 dollars if you try to pay people a living wage. I have numerous family members here in louisiana that fervently believe that the VP should have overturned the election on Jan 6th and handed Trump the win, thus ending this experiment in democracy. The overwhelming majority of my family (outside of my wife and son and I) really really wish that we had ended our democracy on Jan 6th and let Trump become our dictator. So, in any sane world I don't think Trump could get elected again, but I also didn't think that a large majority of the republican party yearns for a dictator and an end to our democracy. While you have a degree I ran and own businesses. When I am determine how much I will charge all cost of running the business are calculated. Only idiots do not figure taxes into the cost of running a business. And yes they will go out of business if they don't.
