Historians will refer to the Iraq war as the most expensive failure in the history of the United States. Just think what we could have done with all this money

- Begin building a hydrogen infrastructure, so we can tell oil exporters where they can shove their oil.

- Fund the No Child Left Behind Act.

- Have a real Medicare prescription bill.

- Rebuild our decaying infrastructure.

- Stop talking about putting a man on Mars, and really do it instead.

- Disband the IRS (My favorite).

So much waste.

The estimated cost for every citizen in the US (including children) is $30,000.
I call for the closure of corperate tax loopholes. But since the government (both sides) are in bed with corperate america, doesn't seem to happen any time soon.

You think that was expensive, you should look at WWII in today's dollars. It would boggle your mind.

You can not compare World War with invasion of a nation roughly the same size as CA with an armed force that is at least 50 years behind technologically.
WWII was strong nations against strong nations. Germany was actually technologically superior to all nations it attacked.

How do you know what historians will say? Has it been written yet?
