Sen. Cory Booker, a New Jersey Democrat who rose to prominence as Newark's charismatic and ambitious mayor, announced Friday that he is running for president.

Booker chose the first day of Black History Month to launch his campaign, timing that nods to Booker's own heritage and suggests he will put it at the center of his pitch to voters.
"The history of our nation is defined by collective action; by interwoven destinies of slaves and abolitionists; of those born here and those who chose America as home; of those who took up arms to defend our country, and those who linked arms to challenge and change it," Booker narrates in a video released on Friday morning, which features him walking through his Newark neighborhood.

"I'm Cory Booker and I'm running for president of the United States of America," he says in the video.

A lot of flash and theatrics, very little substance.

Whoa, so you're telling me Bucky, hardcore Trump cult member extraordinaire doesn't like the newest Democratic candidate!?

Let's be completely honest, there never will be a Democrat you won't **** on. I can't wait to watch you whine about, cry and slander every one of the some 300 candidates we're going to have.

Let's be completely honest, there never will be a Democrat you won't **** on. The GOP has already began its campaign of attacking and slandering Democratic candidates. It's all FAKE NEWS, haters.

What I remember of Senator Booker is that he made a fool of himself during the Brett Kavanaugh hearings. His accomplishments as a senator leave a lot to be desired.

Have they asked for his long form birth certificate and checked his college records yet? (I mean Booker not Bucky)

So you only remember one thing, but yet you say you know about his accomplishments to say his accomplishments leave a lot to be desired.:lamo

Didn't he rake in more money from Wall Street and Law Firms than any other Democrat?

You don't know the difference between campaign fund raising and political and personal accomplishments?

For electability, the cash is more important, sadly.

He even admitted he broke committee rules. He said it like 10 times in a braggadocious way. Even compared himself to Spartacus.

If you look at that campaign video I posted, it shows Cory Booker getting a haircut at a barbershop.

Seriously? The man is bald. Talk about a lack of authenticity.

Isn't Howard Shultz a Democrat? ;)

But about Cory Booker, how quickly will his detractors and rivals bring up the bearding thing?

Cory Booker the boob grabber and sexual assault offender?
Oh goodie...more jack-asses to watch make even bigger jack-asses of themselves.
Game on...

This is what I'm talking about. You have nothing of substance to attack him on so you create this things like "he goes to a barber shop, can you believe the gall of him?" Yet you regularly defend and forgive Trump for all of his discretions. Pathetic partisanship.

What exciting news! (Personally, I would not walk through Newark.)

just another loon added to the bag of loons that are running for president for democrats.
i guess they didn't learn their lesson from clinton.

i would rather vote for the star bucks guy than any of those nut jobs.

Actually Donald seems to like Harris, for some reason. So, maybe Donald will convince Bucky to like her.

shultz has been outed of the democratic party and is thinking an independent run.
he is somewhat liberal on social issues but pretty conservative on fiscal ones.

he doesn't fit into the loon bag mold of any democrat running right now.

which is why democrats are scared to death that he is going to make a run.

Have you been to Newark lately? I worked there all through the 1980s and it was one of the worst cities in the country. I was just there recently for the first time in many years, at a Devils game. I can not believe the difference in the city. It isn't even the same. Booker did a great job as mayor. I still can't stand the place, but I felt completely safe there.

You weren't going to vote for a Democrat anyway.

Booker isn't a loon. And his candidacy hasn't got a thing to do with the mistake that the Dems made with Clinton which ended up costing all Americans because we ended up with the second worst candidate in the history of US politics as President.

I'm very happy to hear about your positive experiences.

A lot of people, however, prefer not to take any chances.
