Cortez misquotes The Constitution

Meh

Its just locker room talk.

No, it's straight up stupidity...lol.

She thinks The Constitution says "he" when it refers to presidential prereqs. :lamo

What part was misquoted? Maybe I'm just missing it, but i fail to understand what she misquoted. All I can see is that she made a joke.

"He" doesn't appear in Article 2, Section 1

"No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States."

She didn't. They are desperate to go after her. That woman is a go-getter. She isn't even seated and she's already formulating policy with a Green New Deal proposal and has over 20 something other congressmen on board. ALREADY.

Cortez is a perfect example of why we need a minimum age for presidents.

I agree to an extent, but I think her light would shine brightly in a presidential contest. From a practical standpoint, no candidate would have the experience to get a party nomination at that age. She makes an excellent argument for raising the minimum age for congress.

I'll admit that I'm a little bit conflicted about that statement. We SHOULD be able to rely on the voters to elect a good candidate. However, with straight-ticket voting (which should be gone) it's possible for inexperienced candidates to be swept into office on the coattails of a popular candidate. Great example is in Harris county, where the swell of support for Beto O'Roarke was devastating. Every current judge was swept from office, and replaced by people who in some cases have no experience as a judge and didn't really expect to be elected. We also replaced our county judge (Chief executive for the county) with a 27 year old that never had a job, and had never attended a county commissioner's meeting.

But it refers to the president as "he" in other parts...

So she didn't misquote it? She just made a joke and you decided to attack her for a very obvious joke?

Dude, start charging her rent if you're gonna let her live in your head like that.

Squatters do not pay rent when they move in to an abandoned property

Voting for judges is about as dumb or dumber than voting for coroners. You can put people in the judges seat who don't know a thing about law and a coroner in that seat whose never seen a dead body. Makes no sense.

The part she quoted says "any person".

When I was 29, I knew what the three branches of government are and that socialism doesn't work.

Did you know those things at 29?

Yes, but that doesn't change what I said. It just proves you and were smarter and more educated than she is at 29.
