Cortez misquotes The Constitution

Please tell me what she is scapegoating

Scapegoat was a poor word choice. Distraction is a better one.

Trump says a dozen idiotic things (including multiple bald faced lies) everyday and his supporters make excuses. A 29 year old freshman Democrat Congresswoman-elect makes ignorant comments and they fall over each other trying be the first to attack her. Pathetically funny.

It's funny to watch you defend this dumb broad.

That'll never get old.

Agreed it's amusing but she isn't a "dumb broad". She's an idealistic barely-turned 29 year old. Not unusual for young people. If she's still talking like this at 40, then I'll readily agree she's not the brightest bulb on the tree.

Please point out where I excuse anything Cortez says (or does).

Sounds like you're trying to excuse it by 1st claiming she is a victim of being scapegoated. Then you offer her youth to excuse it and finally you pivot on to trump to deflect from her mistake

She does?

I think its more that you guys need a scapegoat because you follow someone (Trump) who is more ignorant of how government works than her.

Good thing about Cortez? She is young enough to learn some things. Trump is set in his ways and doesn't care to learn anything.

She's a woman...She's a minority... She's a Dem....

That's 3 for 3 on the alt-right hate parade.

She will be the Con media and their hate filled lemmings bogeyman for years.

May sound that way, but no. I find her to be naive and ignorant. But I don't really care, because she does not represent my district. Until she is in a position of power (ie., committee head), she's just another clueless congressperson among 435 of them. She has no power beyond her one vote, which doesn't even start until next year.

And yes, she is young and idealistic. She is still young enough to learn something. Her being ignorant right now -- and probably for several years -- is not going to adversely affect US policy.

I bow to your massive experience and voluminous post history.

I've been posting on forums since 2005 or so. I recognize trolls, but I try to give the benefit of the doubt first. Thanks for allowing me to make a speedier than usual recognition.

Fine, never respond to a post by me again; I can't tell you how hurt I'll be.

She is radical, she is not too bright, and she has almost no resume.

Will Cortez eventually take over for the official position of right wing boogey person?

Amazing how much one freshman representative out of 435 gets so much attention from the right.

She isn't even seated yet and she owns them all.

Right over your head, eh?

Apparently it's over yours. At least the point where you claim everyone else has TDS for pointing at trump when you are the first one in the thread to mention trump.

She... wasn't quoting the constitution.

Her exact words: "...the Constitution technically says he cannot run unless he’s 35..."

When I was 29, I knew what the three branches of government are and that socialism doesn't work.

Did you know those things at 29?

It’s because of the stupid crap that comes out of her mouth, we know liberals just soak it in, just like Auntie Maxie.

That was the joke, yes.

Wow! Doubling down on idiocy (stupid would be too kind) She's going to "force" the Republicans to pass the Equal Rights Amendment? Huh? Has she already forgotten a woman ran for President in 2016, and we've had at least two female VP candidates?

Maybe she wants a new equal rights amendment based on removing constitutional age requirements. Personally, I think it would be very entertaining to see her in a televised presidential debate.

I'd buy a case of beer and a ton of popcorn for that one. Maybe get Kevin Hart to moderate? :lamo:

Cortez is a perfect example of why we need a minimum age for presidents.
