I was bought up hearing the phrases "Roosevelt Liberal " or" New Deal Liberal " Than there was JFK Liberal . Those phrases have little to do with Liberals today. Most liberals today are leftists They have little in common with classical liberalism of the past. Its nteresting to see that liberals today won't call themselves liberals ,they've ruined the term so badly that now they claim top be "Progressives ".The last Progressive was , Theodore Roosevelt and he was a Republican !

true dat' of coarse there is the occasional liberal who will refer to himself as a liberal, but only if they can fight for themselves.
