Conspiracy theory master, Adam Schiff: Trump is again conspiring with Russians in 2020.

That's bull**** and you know it.

It continues to be true-- after almost four years of investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 election, by the House, Senate and a a special prosecutor (though maybe Durham will find something) we know that only the Clinton campaign actually received information from Russian sources.

Fushion GPS hired Christopher Steele because he was a former British intelligence officer with M16. Christopher Steele had many sources inside Russia and considerable expertise on Russian matters and he used his contacts in Moscow to find what he could about Trump’s connections to the Russian government.

You and other Trump supporters continue to falsely claim that U.S. intelligence community probes into Russian interference in the 2016 election were launched because of Steele's dossier when in fact the probe was triggered based on information on George Papadopoulos. The House Intelligence Committee lead by Republican Devin Nunes agreed that it was because of George Papadopoulos that the Steele dossier was started.

The Clinton campaign received information from Fusion GPS. Fusion GPS received information from Christopher Steele. Christopher Steele compiled his dossier based on multiple sources in Russia. That's it.

Poor old Adam.

Nancy has been getting all the media attention recently.

He is envious.

Sadly, he will win re-election.

Nobody is justifying what Manafort did.
The allegation was always that the campaign conspired with Russia.
It didn't happen.
Russia targeted the Trump campaign. That is scarcely the fault of the campaign.

They didn't participate. We now know that. Claiming otherwise is spreading 'misinformation.'

Just really dumb. or dishonest comments.

You didn't read the BIPARTISAN Senate Intelligence Committee Report, did you? Of course, you didn't. Just like you never read the Mueller Report. The Mueller Report said that there was a lot of evidence of a conspiracy, but that proof of conspiracy was prevented by the coordinated efforts to obstruct the investigation by Trump and his people (i.e. Manafort, Stone, Papadopolous, Flynn, Cohen, etc.).

And as for the recently released Senate Report, there's this:

"The Committee's bipartisan Report unambiguously shows that members of the Trump Campaign cooperated with Russian efforts to get Trump elected. It recounts efforts by Trump and his team to obtain dirt on their opponent from operatives acting on behalf of the Russian government. It reveals the extraordinary lengths by which Trump and his associates actively sought to enable the Russian interference operation by amplifying its electoral impact and rewarding its perpetrators—even after being warned of its Russian origins. And it presents, for the first time, concerning evidence that the head of the Trump Campaign was directly connected to the Russian meddling through his communications with an individual found to be a Russian intelligence officer."

So, make no mistake, the Trump campaign DID conspire with the Russians. They just go away with it. And all the idiotic "No Collusion", "Russian Hoax" and "Nothing Burger" slogans in the world won't erase that from the history books.

Its true that Steele was hired to find dirt on Trump in Russia. That is to say, he was a foreigner hired to find dirt on Trump from foreign sources.
And he actually succeeded, unlike the Trump campaign which received nothing on Clinton.

But we now know it is not true that he compiled his dossier from Russian sources. He compiled it from his old drinking buddies, who told him about rumors they heard while hanging out at bars and cafes. Steele has long called his report "gossip" and we now know that is a pretty good description of it.

No. The investigation wasn't into Russian interference-- it was into Trump campaign conspiring with Russian efforts. That is what Crossfire Hurricane was all about.
And we now know that by the summer of 2016, the FBI had determined that PapaD had NO contacts with any Russians.
In other words, there was no conspiracy, and it was known before Labor Day 2016. Yet the FBI doubled down, particularly with the aforementioned dossier (which btw the FBI had also suspected was in part Russian disinformation).

The Clinton campaign received information from Fusion GPS. Fusion GPS received information from Christopher Steele. Christopher Steele compiled his dossier based on multiple sources in Russia. That's it.

The campaign hired Fusion to find dirt on Trump. They searched for dirt in foreign countries using foreign information, information that, as above, the FBI believes was Russian disinformation. There was no Trump/Russia conspiracy. If the concern is 'foreign interference' by Russia, thats fair enough. But as above, the Clinton campaign was far more mixed up with that than was the Trump campaign-- unwittingly of course.

The Senate report pointed out that Russia targeted the Trump campaign, explaining that that country took advantage of of the campaign's inexperience.
It points out the Trump campaign was unaware of what Russia was up to.
It points out that the campaign did not know what Manafort was up to, and they could not explain why he did what he did. They also point out that he did not believe Kilimick was a Russian agent.
The Mueller report meanwhile points out that Russia approached the Trump campaign and sometimes the campaign responded and sometimes it didnt. Such a characterization is consistent with the Senate conclusion that the campaign was targeted.
As far as obstruction, when Mueller, the House, the Senate conclude there was no conspiracy, the argument that that failure to find conspiracy is as a result of obstruction becomes dubious.

The Senate report pointed out that Russia targeted the Trump campaign, explaining that that country took advantage of of the campaign's inexperience.

This is a lie. The Senate Report states (in great detail) how on MULTIPLE accounts (involving several Trump officials, and Donald Trump, HIMSELF) the Trump campaign was both aware of, and complicit with the efforts of Russia to help the Trump campaign win in 2016. It states that the Trump campaign was in FACT, aware and complicit. Again, you CLEARLY haven't read the Senate Report.

It points out that the campaign did not know what Manafort was up to, and they could not explain why he did what he did. They also point out that he did not believe Kilimick was a Russian agent.
Again, this is simply untrue. You cannot point to a single sentence in the Senate Report that attests to the above. Not one. You must be relying upon some conservative op/ed writer's "analysis" of the Senate Report...because THIS (above) was not in it.

The Mueller report meanwhile points out that Russia approached the Trump campaign and sometimes the campaign responded and sometimes it didnt. Such a characterization is consistent with the Senate conclusion that the campaign was targeted.
There's nothing unethicacl= about being targeted. There is plenty illeg

The Mueller Report points out that multiple Trump campaign members sought and engaged in communications with Russians. That, alone, would be enough to stop ANY other campaign in history.

The Mueller Report points out that EVERY single Trump campaign member involved with the Russians...LIED to the investigation under questioning. Innocent people don't lie. Guilty people do.

The Mueller Report also points out that the reason a conspiracy could not be proved, was because so many Trump officials (and Trump, himself) actively OBSTRUCTED the investigation.

The Mueller Report says a lot more, but that's enough to show the utter ridiculousness of your comment, above.

As far as obstruction, when Mueller, the House, the Senate conclude there was no conspiracy, the argument that that failure to find conspiracy is as a result of obstruction becomes dubious.

Nonsense. That makes absolutely no sense at all. The reason a conspiracy crime/charge could be neither established, nor ruled out, was ENTIRELY because of the lies and non-cooperation of all of the key Trump advisers who were indicted (and convicted) throughout the Mueller Investigation.

But, just as importantly, OOJ is a stand alone crime. That, alone, would get any previous president impeached. That, alone, justified the House impeachment. The fact that the Senate barely acquitted, against a bipartisan minority, is something that will forever taint the legacies of those Republican sycophants.
