They both "suck" because many of today's "liberals" are not liberal, & many of today's "conservatives" are not conservative.

We are all waiting for that knight in shining armor to ride into town and clean up the mess!

Trumpists are not conservatives. Neither are Republicans.

The red hat stands alone under the label of ignorance and hate as Trumpists.
 
"Both sides bad" gives the implication that they are equally bad, which is not remotely accurate.

Democrats are cowardly, greedy oligarchs more concerned with their own wealth and power than anything else.

Republicans are trying to burn the country to the ground and institute a fascist theocracy.

That is the decision I made. First time in my entire life I have voted a straight party ticket was last election and as I have said here before, I am old as dirt.

If I had to describe the negative behaviors of the left and right, the left's bad behavior was silly (jogging alone outside with a mask? C'mon), and the right's bad behavior was destructive and led to hundreds of thousands of perfectly avoidable deaths.

And that's basically a microcosm for how the left and right misbehave. One is goofy, the other is destructive. I'll take goofy over destructive any day of the week.

If you can't tell which bunch are the real bad guys, I don't think anything on DP can help you.
That doesn't mean I insist the other bunch are perfect, but it does mean I haven't seen much from them beyond what politics usually dredges up in a typical republic.

You're free to yell about how wrong my group is, and I'll even agree on some stuff, but being wrong within normal parameters is nothing like
"Let's overthrow an election and instigate a coup attempt."

I agree. The republicans were way too in on that. We all got to see who they really are. All you have to do is look at the speeches at the time, and then a month later. Every single one of them had their spines melt down for Trump. What a bunch of sorry dicks. They could have put Trumps ass down 18 months ago but chose to adore and kiss his ring.

It's a sickness.
