Simply a pathetic attempt by Conservatives to get more mileage and publicity over Charlie Kirk's death.
Take a look at the geographic market of the only station that this FCC complaint is lodged against. Talk about shameless targeting.

In a way I hope the FCC acts on it so the truth of Kimmel’s remarks can come out and the case will go to the SC. The FCC using licenses as a political hammer is unacceptable and unconstitutional.

That's it! I say we reign in this regulatory powerhouse. The government should simply not have this much power over our lives. Who's with me?

It might. Do you agree that the FCC is therefore a really bad idea?
When the FCC was first created, it was important because there was limited bandwidth and without FCC, there would be absolute chaos. Remember, the FCC also regulates things like HAM radio and ATC frequencies.

Would you like it better if it were not illegal to jam police and fire frequencies?

Wouldn't be fun if we could form a club that would shut down airports any time we wanted to? If it weren't for the FCC, we could do that.

It proves that Kimmel's comment was absolutely spot on.

They don't want to be called Hitler's little helpers but...

It's good to see someone willing to stand up for free speech and fight against government overreach./s

Wrong. That claim was debunked 60 years ago:

Furthermore even before the FCC congress created the FRC which had the power to grant licenses only if stations operated "in the public interest" which was intentionally vague and used to censor speech:

Trump is doing basically the same shit today, but it was progressives which gave him the power.

How would we regulate access to a finite resource like the radio spectrum in AnCapistan?

How would a private individual “own” a segment of the EM spectrum and deny its use to others unless they paid them?

Can someone explain to me what was so offensive about what he said? I heard it on CNN last night and some MAGA talking head was going on about how horrible and insensitive it was. I did not hear anything insensitive to Kirk’s family at all.
