Spend more money on supporting our troops... if you quasi-patriots insist that they stay there.
As opposed to you cowards that would have them run away...?

So, on one hard you argue that the war costs too much, and on the other you argue that we need to spend more.
Is this what it means by talking out of both sides of your mouth?

Don't pay it all out to halliburton for rebuilding the infrastructure that our bombers destroyed.
Oooooh... Halibirton.... the boogeyman of the 21st century.
Just like the Carlise Group in the 90s - the mere mention of Haliburon denoted True Evil. :rofl

Oh... our bombers didnt attack Iraqi oil infrastructure... but the terrorists have.

What he did in the military has nothing to do with his politics now

You haven't answered my question but I'll assume it was a 'yes.'

What he did in the military has nothing to do with politics now your right. But if it makes you and it makes other people respect others more for it then that could make some a dangerous political opponent couldn't they? Especially when they criticize the president?

That is a certifiable freudian slip as I said nothing of oil infrastructure. I only mentioned the term infranstructure and when I did I was referring to water, electricity, and economics. Basic logistics. Do you feel guilty about something?

He's not only a veteran... he's a congressman.. and he is going against the grain of the detrimental will of his peers. I think he is a very sincere, very educated individual. I think he knows a lot of things that Bush and his administration do not and for good reason. Do you dispute that? The term veteran is not just a word... it holds value in empirical education that cannot be obtained by dodging.

Are we not allowed to disagree with him politically?

A few words spoken in sincere dissidence do little to damper the service record of this esteemed patriot. Spare us your, and NavyPrides rhetoric.

This is not "rhetoric.". I am just respectfully disagreeing with the statement that the US military is "broken."

My concern is for the welfare of this nation. I could careless about your political pandering. Who cares what clinton did then. I'm not trying to live in the past. The issue at hand is now. Deal with it. And by all means never respond directly to my claims..... for god sake talk about being beat.

Well it certainly isn't working like it should! THanks to everyone who bought the magnetic ribbons that attach to their cars that state that they "support their troops". Gee I wish it were all that simple.

Dude, this is totally unusual for Timmy. Usually he just constantly criticizes Team Bush so stop acting like you know it all. On another note, please stop taking M14 Shooter and NPs bait by debating with them on a subject that has nothing to do with the topic.

If you can show that you can substantiate your disagreement then sure. To this point of time you have only substantiated that anyone who questions the intentions of the Bush administration somehow does not support our troops. How Ironic.

Dude, you write your posts and i'll write mine? How's that sound?

I suppose I'm supposed to apologize if my opinion offends your friend? That's not how this country is supposed to work. I offer no apology for holding my own belief.

fine. if you want to lead this thread into absurdity and irrelevance thats fine but your not really helping yourself or your argument. I'll say no more.

Did I ask you too? I was just making yourself aware since I've never seen you around the forums before. And Timmy isn't really my friend. But when you say something like that, it looks pretty stupid.

Seems to me that's what you are starting to do.

You are making myself aware? Yet you claimed that I think I know it all... while YOU are making MYSELF aware? That's remarkable.

You know what... if you perceive me as stupid.... ignorant... retarded... whatever. I don't care. I am not going to concede to you for simply speaking my beliefs. If you want to be a big baby about it that is your choice.

You are wrong and so is Murtha..........We have the best military in the world and its doing and outstanding job in Iraq.........Just because the left wing media won't report the good things happening there does not mean its not so..........

The proof is in the pudding Conflict.......The military is doing and outstanding job in Iraq.....It is not broken...........Case closed........

Left wing media? Don't you really mean the media? Unless you live in a vacuum the news business is driven by BAD news, not good news. This it true for all levels of news, be it print, radio or TV.

If 10 Marines are blown up in Iraq that's going to be the story of the day, not the opening of a school in Iraq. It's not "left wing" media, that's a bunch of prejudice political speak that is written to defame liberals, not as a fact.

Need proof? Here are the up to the minute headlines from FNC's website:

So I guess FNC is now a "left wing media" outlet in your world?

Bad news is what people are told about, not good news, and it has nothing to do with Iraq, it's true everywhere. It's nonsense to write "left wing media" hate posts.

:rofl That's complete BS. Because he has changed his mind about a war that you support he is now a liberal dove?

Maybe his 30 years of military experience, discussion with soldiers in Iraq and the military have convinced him we can't achieve a clear cut victory in Iraq, ever thought of that?
