The problem is the average taxpayer (which is 90% of the population), will never see a dime of that money. Even if we saw 5 cents of it, the tariffs would take 10 cents from us. It's only a win for the billionaires.
 
I don't disagree with Sanders at all; however, there should be congressional oversight, and that's the problem I'm seeing, which isn't unique to this example.

I never, ever want to hear the words "it's socialism" from any GOPer, MAGA, or so-called "conservative" when it comes to student loan forgiveness, universal healthcare, or pre-K childcare again.

If it's "national security" to "protect" a certain, specific chip-maker, then it's also "national security" to protect the economic, health, and educational future of our citizens.

Perid. Full stop.
 
It's not good when the government chooses one chipmaker over others.
