Imagine the European in a London Internet café posting with his somewhat radical Muslim friends (an image you must accept), and posting on this message board (or the others he will go to when he can‘t post here) and saying Nixon was worse than Bin Laden. http://www.debatepolitics.com/war-iraq/18568-maybe-time-bring-troops-home-7.html#post511778 It is like saying, “The Colonists were terrorists.“ So what do the professional debaters with thousands of posts say in debate, hog slop!
“Nothing Nixon did will ever cause my crotch to be searched before I board a Space Ship, everything Al Quacka did will for all time make me question whether a Muslim woman has a salami bomb up her vagina.” (DivineComedy, http://www.debatepolitics.com/war-iraq/18568-maybe-time-bring-troops-home-7.html#post511896 )
That sentence is prime beef, all the other responses to the allegation that Nixon was worse than Bin Laden were hog slop.
“Iraq as a nation is obligated by the rules of warfare, unlike Japan during WWII Iraq is a high contracting party to the Geneva Conventions. But Saddam’s supporters, the so-called insurgents, the foreign fighters, and the various Al Quacka that was in Iraq prior to the invasion, have not been fighting according to the rules when they use civilian guise to plant IED‘s or use a civilian car bomb to attack.
I do not want to be searched on public transportation.” (DivineComedy, {bold emphasis mine}

That topic was my first and is the only reason I came on this message board.

Who could blame her. Funny way you have of liberating people by meddling in their struggle to be liberated from a brutal French colonial rule. How would you feel if people came to your country and carpet bombed your folk in the name of freedom ?
You deserved to have you're arses kicked out of there.” http://www.debatepolitics.com/war-iraq/18568-maybe-time-bring-troops-home-7.html#post512000 {bold emphasis mine}
Like Saddam would say, “Again we say that when someone feels that he is unjustly treated…”
And the professional debaters with thousands of posts might question why I would get upset that I will not be able to get around to asking Mr_Dbater who the magical “they” are that Saddam said, “should, rather, be reassured and helped to save themselves, and their surroundings.”
I would love to get an honest response from a “liberal.”
“The point was not whether UBL was right or wrong. I think the man is garbage and should be locked up for the rest of his life without the possibility of parole. The point was that a lot of the insurgency is from people who would not normally be considered terrorists, but have picked up arms against the US because of our continued occupation of their country. You would do the same thing here if a significant force was in America.” (Billo_Really, http://www.debatepolitics.com/war-iraq/18568-maybe-time-bring-troops-home-3.html#post503254 )
Comments from another “liberal:”
“The Colonists were terrorists. The French freedom fighters during WWII were terrorists, as were the OSS that we sent to help them. The contras in Nicaragua were terrorists. The Afghans that we supported against the Soviets were terrorists (still are, have you noticed?).
Terrorism and guerilla war are just means to wage war. How they are used and whether they are used in a good cause is more to the point than whether there is something inherently evil about those tactics. It can be argued that the bombing of Dresden or of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were terrorist acts. But that does not address whether they were legitimate acts of war or whether they were necessary for the greater good.”

You can find “liberals” everywhere.
Would you do the same thing, violate the Golden Rule and put on civilian clothes to wage war for the “greater good?”
“Do unto all men as you would wish to have done unto you; and reject for others what you would reject for yourself”
If you would be a terrorist, when someone shoves a big purple throbbing probe up your orifices to check for salami bombs before you walk into the local Walmart, I hope you squeal like a little pig!
I repeat:
“Nothing Nixon did will ever cause my crotch to be searched before I board a Space Ship, everything Al Quacka did will for all time make me question whether a Muslim woman has a salami bomb up her vagina.” (DivineComedy, http://www.debatepolitics.com/war-iraq/18568-maybe-time-bring-troops-home-7.html#post511896 )

PS. Sorry, I can't debate any of it.

(posted by me July 01, 2003 09:02 PM, excerpt from first post to the “Liberals!” topic, Daytona Beach News-Journalonline Forums) {I am sure I just violated some fine print or rule by quoting from an old “public domain” source, or from a message board that is now shut down and the link does not work.} {I love “Liberal” shrunken heads so much I kept a copy of the pages of that topic.}Al Quaeda or Al Quacka is just a name that can change in a breath, and that name can be just as invisible as a breath, but some of us that are not blinded by prejudice can see where such breath resides:
“Again we say that when someone feels that he is unjustly treated, and no one is repulsing or stopping the injustice inflicted on him, he personally seeks ways and means for lifting that justice. Of course, not everyone is capable of finding the best way for lifting the injustice inflicted on him. People resort to what they think is the best way according to their own ideas, and they are not all capable of reaching out for what is beyond what is available to arrive to the best idea or means.
To find the best way, after having found their way to God and His rights, those who are inflicted by injustice need not to be isolated from their natural milieu, or be ignored deliberately, or as a result of mis-appreciation, by the officials in this milieu. They should, rather, be reassured and helped to save themselves, and their surroundings. “ (Saddam Hussein Shabban 13, 1422 H. October 29, 2001.)
Actually I suspect so many “liberals” agree with Saddam about “own ideas“ of justice through terror, because of what is said and not said, and I feel it may be a “liberal” offshoot of the “liberal“ moral rot of “by any means necessary.” I also believe Judicial Activism is also an offshoot of “liberal” justification for tyranny.
I repeat:
