And so it will pass. Polls are indicating 53% of Americans will not take the vaccine. Likely these Americans are deeply rooted in the South. Biden starts to hammer down on southern states who do not push the vaccine. These states remain open while the Northern states are being vaccinated in droves out of fear. Eventually Biden team becomes more vocal about southerners traveling around the vaccinated states. They will not allow this. The feds start the move to take over State governments by force. Citizens will respond in defense.

Many employers will require the vaccine as a condition of employment.

Not going to happen. Southern states' residents who refuse to take the vaccine will also get to herd immunity. It will take longer and more people will die, but they'll get there. What they'll also accomplish, by letting the virus infect freely, is to create more variants. Since their immunity to those variants will be weaker than people who've taken vaccines (which will be adjusted for variants) the variants will spread easily in the south as well.

So Biden won't have to go to war. Darwin will solve the problem.

It will be part of the normal hiring process - qualifications set by the employer have to be met. Criminal background checks, reference checks, drug screening, vaccines etc. Vaccine requirements aren't new - just ask any retirement home worker what vaccines they are required to have.

Nothing sinister to see here, candidates are free to pass on the job if they don't like the employer's requirements.

More likely people working for national or international companies will be required to get the vaccine by the end of summer due to concerns over lawsuits. Everyone else will segregate themselves and the world will see them as the fools that they are. Their kids will need to get vaccinated as part of their schooling (due to the influence of teacher's unions, I suspect)

The world will move on without needing those who wish to be part of history and not part of the modern world while their local economy continues to suck.
 
53% Where was that poll taken? At a Trump cult rally.. Trumpsters won't get vaccinated because their god and leader won't, he's a tough guy so he or his family will refuse the vaccine... Oh wait a minute never mind...

History shows virus mutations/variants are weaker .
So far all the stories of more deadly mutations are unproven -- see Brazil , South Africa and the Neil Ferguson pushed British offering .


ADE evidence shows how people who have been vaccinated can get into trouble when later naturally infected -- death rate leaps , let alone autoimmune diseases .

That deals with those fake narratives .

i have had to bend over backwards and submit to many background checks to work anywhere in a red state. asking people to get vaccinated so that this nightmare can get closer to the end is not too much.

hopefully, and if so, it's no thanks to COVIDiots. the research community has been working overtime for many months on this. i have zero sympathy for anti-vax CTers. we need herd immunity, and it's possible that a yearly shot might be necessary.

Over the past week there's been an average of 56k new cases per day in the US. The average reduction of new cases per day is slowing and you're plateauing at a very high level compared to other countries. It's not coming to an end.

Are you so convinced the GOP can’t win votes based on policy that you have to envision a scenario where the country tears itself apart over your belief that southern states want to die of an infectious plague?

About your scenario: what do *you* think happens when one group of people take a deadly infectious plague seriously while the other group refuses to vaccinate? How do you think that “war” would play out? Sounds to me like Darwin ultimately wins. As badly as the south had its ass kicked last time, how will it fare with a populace wheezing and a fighting force unable to draw oxygen?
