Colin Powell, military leader and first Black US secretary of state, dies

Powell, a trailblazer in the military and US government, died on October 18 at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
His family confirmed that the 84-year-old was fully vaccinated against Covid-19.

In the immediate aftermath, opponents of the shots seized on that disclosure in numerous online posts as evidence that the vaccines do not work.

But Powell was especially vulnerable because of myeloma, a blood cancer that affects plasma cells that help produce antibodies against harmful pathogens.

In what might have been his last interview, Powell told journalist Bob Woodward that he had multiple myeloma, as well as a second underlying condition, Parkinson's disease.

"If you had to choose a medical condition that would severely impact or diminish your response to vaccines, it would be multiple myeloma," said Onyema Ogbuagu, an infectious diseases specialist at Yale School of Medicine.
- 'An outlier' -
Powell's condition "severely limited his ability to mount a response to the vaccine... he's an outlier, unfortunately,” Ogbuagu added.

Not only do multiple myeloma patients often mount a poor antibody response to Covid-19 vaccination, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai researchers "discovered that these patients also have a weak response from a different part of the immune system, known as T cells."

Samir Parekh, a co-author of the Mount Sinai study, said that treatments for myeloma patients can make them even more immunocompromised.

Saying they were old and had existing ailments. The old and the infirm are easy targets for a virus or disease. See my thread on "Culling the herd." I know it's a tough read for leftists because they get all emotional and are guided by feelings rather than reality.
My point was yes he had the vaccine and if he was in good health he may have not got it
But seeing he has Cancer and is taking Cancer meds those meds weaken and destroy the vaccine and made his immune system way weaker and that is why he got it it really had nothing to do with having the vaccine
Have a nice day

are you saying the other 90% over 80 all were taking Chemo and other Cancer meds?
Have a nice day
I am saying that the stats and facts show that the large majority of them had one or MORE serious health problems.

Right, and your argument is that these people are old and useless and on their deathbed and are going to die any minute.

So where do you get that from?
Where do you get that a messenger reporting facts want those facts?

Ha! Holy shit! You really were waiting to see if Trump really said it before you agreed with it!

What a sheep you are. You literally cited someone not liking Trump as evidence for something entirely unrelated.
What in his statement was not factual?

I hope your family gets culled. I know that can be a tough read because you get all emotional and are guided by feelings rather than reality.
I am only imparting truth. Sorry you have trouble handling the truth. Take another blue pill.

and.........???

I read it. I am asking what he said was not factual? Please advise.

Trump isn't happy to see Powell treated well. There is no actual definition of RINO, so you are confusing opinion for fact, and Powell wasn't the first to criticize the GOP. Hell, I can't remember the last time I heard from him.

So, your master was wrong at least three time in just a few sentences.

Blue pill? What a dork.
I forget that some here are really young and never saw The Matrix, so here is what is meant by the blue pill.

The terms "red pill" and "blue pill" refer to a choice between the willingness to learn a potentially unsettling or life-changing truth by taking the red pill or remaining in contented ignorance with the blue pill. The terms refer to a scene in the 1999 film The Matrix.

PS. I hope this helps

What was not factual by what Trump said? That someone who votes for Biden is a true Republican and not a RINO??

Oh, WAIT! That is why the left is lauding a "Republican" who died....because he was.....................?

Or Trump was a train wreck but you can't see it because of your devotion to him.

If you think it is impossible to laud someone who disagreed with you, that is a you problem. You really have become Trump. You just don't have a rich dad to let you pretend to be a businessman.

Yeah, it is a term used by the mentally deficient to reference an action movie and the laziest pseduo-philosophy going. It's two steps below Fight Club.

Paradoxical may in fact be a 17-year-old from 2003.

I thought that is what I was saying in this case it was Cancer
and one of my points is YES he had the Vaccine and if he hadn't had these underlying problems the Vaccine might have worked so just saying or implying that the vaccine didn't work and not telling people he had these other problems and was on Chemo and other Cancer meds that make the Vaccine ineffective is not right just out right BS
If you go back and read some of the first posts some of them were implying he got the Covid even though he was fully vaccinated
Have a nice evening
