This is hilarious. Another day another Fox "news" blunder piggybacking a CBS blunder.

Colbert Tears Into '60 Minutes' Over Benghazi (VIDEO)

"There is a scandal tearing apart CBS News!" he told his viewers, before going on to recount the whole sordid tale. CBS, he said, was "on the scene within minutes of 13 months later," only to find its story falling completely apart.

I love the clips of Fox news anchors trumpeting how they've been "covering" this all along and knew it from the start.
 
Lot easier to poke fun at the news than actually report any.
 
Just out of curiosity...CBS news aside...has the administration yet answered when they received the requests for enhanced security? Have they answered when the president knew there was a problem or who was in charge during the attack? Where the president was when it was happening live? Who created the lies blaming this all on a response to a Youtube film and lied about it not being an act of terrorism?

What is your guys' infatuation with Benghazi about? I'll never understand what you people think is to be uncovered there. You've scoured the story for over a year now and found very little in evidence of any wrongdoing, yet continue on swearing up and down some kind of incredible truth is to be revealed. You all sound like 911 truthers.

Do you think you're going to find Obama's secret Muslim lair? His Kenyan birth certificate? Hillary's video manifesto in which she admits to intentionally killing marines?

By all accounts the summary of Benghazi is that security was bad and there possibly were some secret operations going on that the U.S. doesn't want to expose. Maybe you guys have confused secret operations with evidence of Obama and Hillary's traitorous Progressive Mein Kampf?

oh...you know...4 Americans, one of them an ambassador, were slaughtered while the US stood around and did nothing, then they spent a month Lyon about it. So...yeah...I just can't imagine why people are still upset about it.

All of those things were addressed months ago.

Americans in a dangerous place doing a dangerous job died... this happens every day. Yeah it sucks but this is what the U.S. does to try and control the world.

The lying was because of the imminent election. Yeah it sucks but again this is the reality of politics and you should be over it by now.

The U.S. did nothing? Top military brass explained all this that there is only so much you can do in certain situations and there was likely a covert op going on so I imagine there are a lot of things we don't know about and never will.

Its seriously time to retire this topic. You do realize the only reason Benghazi was ever a scandal is because of the election anyways, right? If it weren't for that it would have blown over relatively quickly without excessive fuss. Its like you guys never got the memo that it was just an election time plot to try and snare Obama. They lied and spun their way out of it and by the time anyone figured out what happened he was elected President again. That was a year ago...

LOL you fell into the same trap as Romney. Obama called it an "act of terror" on the first day. It's pretty clear that this is just another "Whitewater" witchhunt. When will they learn?

Really...now do you want to pretend (LOL) that the administration did NOT spend the next month blaming it on a response to the youtube video?And it seems like it should be a relatively simple task...Mrs Clinton stated SOMEONE in her state department gave that lie to everyone else to run with...WHO was that special someone and what has been the repercussion (lol)?

Perfect. Then you should have no trouble telling us where Obama was when people were watching this live, right? You should have no trouble telling us who received the intel and who decided to not act, right? You should have no problem telling us who created the lie that was then used numerous times, right? Since...you know...it was all resolved 6 months ago.

Obama said the attack was an act of terror from the first day. The CIA gave out that story about the video. Sadly no one in the Administration wanted to short circuit the hunt for the perps by contradicting them. How unforgivable of them. Think of the 4 lives that could have been saved. Oh wait...they were already dead.

Funny how Colbert rips into CBS for a reporting SNAFU about Benghazi, but not the President for the ACTUAL SNAFU in Benghazi. If only CBS had let 4 people die maybe Colbert would have left them alone...
 
It is amazing how people cheer shifting actual wrongdoing to Republicans in any possible way.

It was CBS that put the FAKE on the air. FOX simply stated that they had been talking about Bengazi all along.

Yet the ubber liberal Colbert found HIS way to shift the massive blunder by CBS and attack FOX with it. And we see, of course, the Democrat partisan's cheering doing so.

CBS presented a total FAKE. Fox reported what CBS presented, forgetting that CBS also is a FAKE when it comes to truth.

Hmmm, do you think MSNBC and ABC also covered the CBS story? Or was it just FOX?

Lesson learned? NEVER consider CBS as a source for anything. Hopefully all of us, not just FOX, will remember that.

The 'obsession' is with the intentional lie fed to the American people and the world. I know...lies dont matter when it is 'your guys'.

And thats the point behind ALL of this. Oh...the REPORTING...thats relevant. The actual incident? Nothing to see here..move along. Who cares about 4 dead bodies when you can make fun of CBS and more importantly...Fox news.

This guy probably cared more about the actual 'answers' than a CBS report...

The claim of there being a lie makes more sense if it's clear that someone would profit by that lie. The closest thing I've seen to a rationale for there being a lie is that the Obama administration claimed that it had Al Qaeda routed, but that's conjecture at best. When looking at the Benghazi timeline it's more likely that as everybody in the administration was being told a different story they were going with what they had. The crime here was an utter failure at crisis management and getting their stories straight. If it was an intentional lie it was the most chaotic disorganized set of lies told ever.

It seems to me if you really cared you would be upset that CBS aired a guy who lied about being a eyewitness to the attack. I think some people are more interested in blaming Obama and/or Clinton than catching the perps.
