(CNN) Trump lays into Musk, suggesting he has ‘Trump derangement syndrome’

I dunno about the astonishment bit as we all saw it coming, but pretty much yeah
Oh, totally agree on the seeing it coming part, I was kind of worried... this is gonna go bonkers probably at some point. But the level of bonkers it went to, that's where my astonishment was, just crazy level.

Oh please. NASA put Americans on the moon two years before Musk was born. NASA competently put spacecraft on Mars and other planets while sending some into deep space.
Yeah, NASA did something big 60 years ago and then blew up some space shuttles put some little scooter gizmos on Mars and...
There is no rational reason why the government needs SpaceX, except the zealots trying to slash government and move to privatization.
So everything before the comma is great but add that second part and it sounds like you just want to punish Musk.
If the equivalent of Starlink was run by the government, it would be a less expensive utility that would not be raining debris over the Bahamas.
So you're telling me that the government does things with less waste than the private sector? I don't think so. Tell that to $80 billion worth of military equipment left in the Middle East. Oh well, we can just pay our friends in the industrial part of the military industrial complex to produce a whole other batch of it.

The government is incentivized towards waste in everything they do.

No, you just don't understand the symbolism of the Snake Eating its Own Tail. It's a closed loop. One end is Capitalism, the other end is Fascism. Capitalism begets fascism, which then devours capitalism.
Totally false. One of the many things that fascists and commies have in common is a hatred for capitalism.

I expected they wouldn't like each other by the end of it. I didn't think Musk would go around slinging pedophile accusations.

I earlier came to the conclusion Dems need to bring Musk into the fold. I'm becoming more convinced.
I've been slowly moving to that conclusion myself.

First they came for the Communists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Communist
Then they came for the Socialists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Socialist
Then they came for the trade unionists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a trade unionist
Then they came for the Jews
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew
Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me

...

The Nazis had to brand their movement as national socialism (white nationalism) because Capitalism had been utterly discredited at the time. This was during the Great Depression, where Capitalism had caused a global economic catastrophe. Make no mistake, the Nazis were hyper-capitalists.

Did I misread this? Please, for the love of god, tell me you're joking. I would make it my personal mission to bring down the Democratic party if they tried to rehabilitate Elon Musk.

Surprisingly to me, I'm fairly impressed with how Trump has handled this whole event.

He's done some of his usual, you know, hyperbolic nonsense, but he's been much more even handed in this.

His chief of staff is doing her job very well. She seems to be the only one he listens to. He’s fortunate to have her, otherwise he’ll continue being a blabbering idiot unchained.

I'm sure the Democratic party is trembling in fear as we speak.

Don't you know? I brought down Kamala, single-handedly, and ushered in the age of Trump. Such is my power.

Deporting illegals is part of te President's job. I've posted articles about ICE raids under Obama, I've pointed out the scale of the deportations under Clinton and Obama.
You argue that's different and never say why.
Then stop doing it yourself.

On which date did Clinton invoke the Alien and Sedition Acts to do deportations?

They must not have donated enough to Trump to get the special treatment.

gotta pay to play today

🤷

Nope. ICE is raiding Martha's Vineyard and the Hamptons all the same which is why the NYT is so upset. Republicans are taking away all the Democrats cheap labor... again.

At what point during the Clinton administration were central American gangs running amok in US cities?

I feel like I’m watching a junior high school drama playing out…

I wonder if this is the first time Musk has had buyer’s remorse?

You changed your mind?

Trump is doing things which are different than past presidents?
