I don't think it's fair to diagnose someone from a distance, but I've also never paid much attention to him. And I know plenty of people who are brilliant but socially awkward. Academia is filled with them. What makes the Asperger's so obvious to you?

I have it. The key “tell” is some kind of hyper competence at something but zero social skills. Missing cues, which leads to inappropriate responses. Not rude or anything. Just wrong.

I used my “Aspie bonus” to learn how to recognize and respond to cues I don’t get because my social instinct set is incomplete.

I was an extremely precocious child. And I thought my inability to understand why people did some of the irrational things they do was that I was just really smart.

Two multi-billionaires colluding to get one elected as one gets majorly damaged in the process. Then the other one exits and suddenly they're trading barbs in the press, knowing that people will lop it up.

Musk gets to repair his reputation and retain his role in his companies without getting run out of town by his board of directors. Trump, who always wants attention, CONSTANTLY provokes negative press by any means possible, and is the textbook definition of "all press is good press," repeatedly gets front page headlines for days or weeks on end depending on how long this very public back-and-forth goes on.

The question we all really should be asking is, "Who actually gets HARMED by all of this back and forth?" Because to me, they each stand to benefit from having a very public divorce. I have to wonder if they agreed to this kind of thing in advance as they play regular people like pawns, as the billionaire class seems to love to do.

And, given that I'm not a regular in the conspiracy forum, I can affirm that I'm not typically a conspiracy theorist in the slightest, but something just feels manipulative about all of this too me. The conflict is too open, too much at once, too direct, and almost too scripted, like both parties had their "lines" ready to go.
