CNN Analyst Labels Nick Sandmann ‘Snot-Nosed, Entitled Kid from Kentucky’

It’s also weird of him to expect civility in the news media when he is such an open Trump supporter. A lot of Trump supporters openly admit to being Trump supporters because he is crass, he tells it like it is, and he is destroying PC culture.

Then he wants honesty and balance in the media. Again, look at the person you support.

Every single time America has seen him, he is wearing a MAGA hat. I am sorry, but I can’t take him seriously.

There was a time in this nation where we opposed the competition but respected the competitors. These days the left simply believes that competitors are all awful people and that competition is a product of Nazi hate. It's even crazier that the ones who promote hatred based merely on political affiliation are the ones complaining so loudly about the lack of unity in the country. I mean, "Unite with us or you suck!" is certainly a legitimate rallying cry but I don't see how it's going to get too many people to come over to your side.

From National Review:

CNN Political Analyst Joe Lockhart criticized Nick Sandmann, the Covington Catholic High School graduate who successfully sued the network for defamation, after the teen addressed the Republican National Convention Tuesday night, calling him a “snot-nosed, entitled kid from Kentucky.”

“I’m watching tonight because it’s important. But I don’t have to watch this snot nose entitled kid from Kentucky,” Lockhart, who served as White House press secretary for the Clinton administration, wrote in a tweet.

If this paragon of journalistic professionalism (and maturity) chose not to watch, he missed Sandmann's saying, "I look forward to the day the media returns to providing balanced, responsible and accountable news coverage.” Joe Lockhart: CNN Analyst Labels Nick Sandmann 'Snot-Nosed, Entitled Kid from Kentucky' | National Review

I've been gone a while; maybe I've only forgotten ... after reading the thread, it appears to be the fastest and most stubbornly obstinate derail I've seen.
great day atcha' NB

Since when is "National Review" breaking news?

They're an editorial at best.

Tsk. Tsk.

Unite with us, or you suck? That sounds more like what Trump supporters act like. It's all about owning the libs. People on this website were getting off on the division and liberal tears. I will admit right now, I refuse to unite with Trump and his supporters. I was never willing to unite with MAGA, with border camps, with Muslim and travel bans, with Trump's constant lying and open corruption, etc.

I am not willing to unite with any of that.

Border camps and Muslim bans? You do know that stuff was pure propaganda promoted by people that WANT to keep the nation divided. As far as not being down with making America great, I don't know why you'd be against that but knock yourself out with that plan.

 so you're telling me that border camps aren't real, family seperation isn't real? I know people impacted by the travel ban. I know a lot more about it than the average Americans.

But anyway, who is in the cabal of people misleading Americans about such facts? "globalists?"

The position you have chosen to take is illogical.
Your grievances are for the most part non-substantive and then you transfer them to hat that does not mean that at all.
That is just illogical thinking.

Why can’t you grasp the point?
Because the point you think you are making, isn't a valid point.

I already explained, he is asking for civility but he supports Trump and wears a Maga hat. Do you think MAGA is civil, is honest, is balanced, or treats others with fairness?
Yes it is civil. That you chose to see it in a different and false light is all on you.

I just can’t take you seriously. You want me to think you’re a never Trumper, but you can’t grasp the irony of this kid supporting Trump and Maga? Thanks for the laughs
No. It is your illogical position that cant' be taken seriously.

The Native American man was also vilified by the right wing. I saw the attacks on him and his military service.
You have no real point here.
Point out where you think said vilification was not justified and someone will show you how it was.

I preferred seeing the two work it out in a personal level, and set an example to the rest of the nation. [/QUOTE]Wut? iLOL
What exactly do you think needs to be worked out between the two?

The Trump exploited the situation and provoked further tribalism and division.
No he didn't.

The kid played the ultimate victim, wore a Maga hat in front of the world again last night, and asked for civility.
iLOL He did not "play"a victim, he was a victim. That you do not understand that is sad.

Sandman already beat CNN in the courts. Maybe you should take a look as to the reason instead of making personal attacks?
If I thought of you as having a respectable character, I would probably value whatever you think you have to say
iLOL
And if any intelligent person thought of you as having a respectable character they would still deride the crap you spew.

85 ****ing pages, four columns a page, ~13-14pt font. All of insults. All coming from the highest office in the land. You do not seem to have any problem with that, but we're supposed to weep for that snot-nosed kid?

Please.
Please? iLOL
1. Context. There is context behind each and every instance listed in those pages and I have yet to see anyone point out any that were (in context) unreasonable.
And if you haven't recognized it yet, a very large segment of the population are okay with the context in which they were made.
2. While you may find that behavior un-Presidential, you do not get to tell others what they must find un-Presidential.
3. "Snot-nosed kid"? That is now you being unreasonably uncivil. All becasue of your own bias.

Editing out the substance of a post is pretty poor form.
No it wasn't poor form. It is actually an appropriate action to take.

You feel your outrage at someone tweeting an insult at Sandman is credible. I do not think is is credible because you stay mum on the constant stream of bile from POTUS.

It's not simply a staggering difference in scale. One is a CNN employee privately tweeting, the other is the President. This is only about the letter next to the name.
The thinking your post is based in is as illogical as it is conflation.

[...] privately tweeting, [....]
:doh Oxymoronic.

The thread does not need to be about Trump in order for your views on Trump to become relevant. It's a way of judging the credibility of your post. The point was obvious: if you sit mum as Trump bubbles with incivility, you do not care about incivility, therefore your feigned outrage is bull****.
Pure illogical BS.

You are certainly entitled to what you think, but it is still illogical.

Border camps and Muslim bans? You do know that stuff was pure propaganda promoted by people that WANT to keep the nation divided. As far as not being down with making America great, I don't know why you'd be against that but knock yourself out with that plan.

People who see themselves as victims want to believe in the touted propaganda of the day.

People who see themselves as victims want to believe in the touted propaganda of the day.

Some people simply want to believe that stuff. They hate Trump because they figure he's sexist or because he exaggerates a lot or simply because he isn't Hillary. They take a partial truth, such as the border detentions, and intentionally omit certain pertinent facts such as the fact that separations were for people crossing ILLEGALLY, not as part of the standard process.

Excuse me, Praxas, but this thread is not about Trump; it's about a CNN analyst making a really childish and unprofessional remark. See if you can stick to the topic instead of trying to derail it.

And by the way, I have never stated for whom I would vote or even if I plan to only downvote. So your attempt to use my thread to launch another screed about the hypocrisy of Trump supporters falls particularly flat.

Indeed. I don't plan to vote for Trump, but media screeching is helping his cause.

Nick Sandmann was a joy to listen to last night. His appearance has changed and has grown into a fine young man. He gave a compelling speech pointing out the cancel culture. A very dangerous thing that is occurring that goes after people personally that do not fit with the agenda of the left. He also gave the media a raspberry that any journalist with an ounce of decency would have taken to heart. His parents must be so very proud of him.

Biden and his family are Catholic

He is anti-Catholic in regards to the tenants of the Catholic faith. Anyone can call themselves anything. Doesn't make it true. No one who is a follower of the Catholic faith supports late term abortion and partial birth abortion.

A Catholic nun, also a physician, explained that yesterday at the Republican convention.

Stunning how so many Democrats demand housing little children in lock up with detained criminals. This is another confirmation that the Democratic Party is the antithesis of liberalism.

Oh, but it gets better.... Look at his cowardly justification for taking heat when this CNN puke decided to go after a kid.
Joe Lockhart@joelockhart
"Taking a lot of personal attacks for saying i had no interest in hearing from the young Sandmann last night. Many of them are unprintable. It is uncanny though how many of them have the word Christian or Jesus in their profile."

Eh i mean if partisans didnt have double standards...

The instant furious ranting and sobbing the moment Trump does anything or anyone indicates support for Trump, the Republican party or any issue (or even word) that isn't hardcore Democratic Party talking points - while soft pedaling riots - is not helping the Democratic Party's cause in the election.

If Democratic officials, Democratic talking heads and the Democratic MSM would just take a chill pill and act NORMAL this would best serve their election goals. This may require firing a few people because they won't stop do to that is how the get their jollies and hating-Trump bragging rights in the inner circle Democratic echo chamber.

Sorry but I have no more sympathy for sandman than I did for hogg. I think its inappropriate to give children a national platform but if they accept it, they also accept the political attacks that come with the territory.
Its sad that both sides are willing to steal children's innocence to score political points.

It was nice to see Nick Sandmann, the highest paid executive at CNN, get some airtime at the RNC.
That was funny but really we have no idea how much he got. He may of gotten 1 dollar or 100 million dollars. Its undisclosed.

I'm sorry here, so you are concerned about a tweet from a person (who happens to work for CNN as an analyst) calling someone a "snot nosed kid" yet you have NO PROBLEM with the president of the United States hurling insults, lies and falsehoods? I say you have no problem because you have indicated you still plan on voting for Trump. So which is it and why should we be concerned with your faux outrage? I swear as we get closer and closer to the election the UTTER HYPOCRISY coming from Trump supporters is UNREAL.
Consider the sources: nota bene citing the National Review. 'Nuff said.

A church shouldn’t tell you how to vote

And you think Trump follows true to his religious teachings? gimme a break. If you think Trump is a Christian, I have a bridge in Iraq to sell you real cheap, just send me the money and I'll tell you the details. No one that is Christian supports cheating on their wives, lying about it and paying off the porn stars they slept with like Trump did. so go take your soapbox and shove it up Trump's ass.

Trump's fidelity to church teaching is irrelevant. His religious supporters have made a practical bargain: they will ignore his personal shortcomings in exchange for the right judges.

Hey, I'm didn't force you to talk about Biden being a Catholic or not. If you don't want to discuss it, why did you raise the topic in the first place?
