--“Eventually, by the fall, we estimate that consumers would bear about two thirds of the cost” from tariffs, he said.
(CNBC) Goldman stands by call that consumers will bear the brunt of tariffs after Trump blasts bank’s economist

It appears Trump has been trying to get Godlman Saks economist David Mericle fired, for daring to speak against him.
To Mericle's & Golfdman Saks' credit, they are no capitulating. They are predicting consumers will bear 2/3rds the cost of Trump's tariffs. Meanwhile, Trump brags about how rich the government has become fleecing our pockets.
Is he actually trying to get him fired? It wouldn't be surprising, that's what commies do.(CNBC) Goldman stands by call that consumers will bear the brunt of tariffs after Trump blasts bank’s economist

They should all be rotting in prison for their role in the financial crisis. I don’t care how they get there. If you believe anything Goldman Sachs has to say after that then you’re one of what they call their “muppets.”By Friday....Monday at the latest...Goldman Sachs is gonna get specifically targeted by a Trump EO or a DOJ "investigation".
You watch.
What it going to take for Trump supporters to realize what he's doing? I bet over 2/3rds of them still think the manufacturing country's are paying the tariffs.

Trump lashed out at the bank in a Tuesday post on Truth Social, suggesting that CEO David Solomon “get a new Economist” or consider resigning.
Yes, just fire everyone who fails to abide by the new rules of the Kingdom of Trumplandia.
Problem solved..

Death is the only thing that will change them. What it going to take for Trump supporters to realize what he's doing? I bet over 2/3rds of them still think the manufacturing country's are paying the tariffs.
Well commies like to control information, and Trump is a thin-skinned snowflake (like all good commies) and cannot handle dissent. So it's not surprising that he wants anyone reporting anything counter to his "greatness" to be fired or punished. Freedom of speech and freedom of press are not concerns for MAGA commies.Yes, Trump is trying to get the economist fired.
From the OP article:
Well that's pretty much the goal of that commie P2025 plan.Yes, just fire everyone who fails to abide by the new rules of the Kingdom of Trumplandia.

I've thought about this for a little bit today: When I see OUR military, I don't have the same type of feeling that I would if it were some other country. I do think I'd feel relatively safe with them around. With that said:Yesterday I had a forum-member Trump supporter tell me (in the D.C. takeover thread), that having the military with fully-automatics weaponry standing on the street-corners of our cities was a comforting thing, and European cities "do it all the time"!

Police yes, military, no. Although I do imagine that for some folks they cannot distinguish between the two.Yesterday I had a forum-member Trump supporter tell me (in the D.C. takeover thread), that having the military with fully-automatics weaponry standing on the street-corners of our cities was a comforting thing, and European cities "do it all the time"!
The operative word is "if." DC doesn't have a rash of increased criminal activity. In fact, it's been dropping from the peak in the 1990s.I've thought about this for a little bit today: When I see OUR military, I don't have the same type of feeling that I would if it were some other country. I do think I'd feel relatively safe with them around. With that said:
Is it something I want? No, not really. If the DC police are having a rash of increased criminal activity, the first step is increased police presence, and harsher punishments for those convicted, not military parade.
As to Goldman, which billionaire who fleeces you do you want to believe? You really are damned if you do or don't in most cases.

Estimated cost to the average US Household of Trumps Tariffs.
$2400 annually...
If a President pushed for a tax increase of that much on Americans.
Republicans would attempt to overthrow the government.
And yet Trumpists are so ****ing retarded, they think they're not the ones paying...
Whomever comes up with the deficit numbers better keep their resume up to date, also!
US deficit grows to $291 billion in July despite tariff revenue surge
(Reuters) -The U.S. government's budget deficit grew nearly 20% in July to $291 billion despite a nearly $21 billion jump in customs duty collections from President Donald Trump's tariffs, with outlays growing faster than receipts, the Treasury Department said on Tuesday.
