Report: NK may have performed nuclear test
http://www.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/asiapcf/10/08/korea.nuclear.test.ap/index.html
SEOUL, South Korea (AP)-- South Korean government officials said North Korea performed its first nuclear weapons test Monday, the South's Yonhap news agency reported North Korea's official KCNA news agency reported the country has performed a successful nuclear test.

South Korean officials could not immediately confirm the Yonhap report.
South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun convened an urgent meeting of security advisers over the issue, Yonhap reported.

The North said last week it would conduct a nuclear test as part of its deterrent against a possible U.S. invasion.

North Korea has successfully completed a Nuclear Weapons test, defying the U.N. in its march of madness to acquire Nuclear weapons. Immediately after the successful test, NK has begun to use them, demanding the United States break off 6-party talks in favor of 1-on-1 talks between the 2 nations! Welcome to the World of Nuclar Blackmail!

The Democrats have wasted no time in 1) demanding the United States appease North Korea, 2) Claiming that the united states is in no direct danger from north korean having a nuclear missile thus nothing to lose and everything to gain from 1-on-1 talks, and 3)blaming Bush for the situation! Several key Democrats this morning have already stated that the United states shgould hold immediate 1-on-1 talks with North Korea, taking shots at Bush in their statments by saying that the world is in this situation because of his actions.

How QUICKLY the Democrats either forget or fail to mention the REAL DANGER the United States/the World finds itself in is due to Ex-President Bill Clinton, NOT George Bush!

It is amazing how WRONG the Democrats are in almost everything they say, either by ignorance or flat out lying!

As to claims that the United States is in no direct danger from North Korea even if they do have a nuclear missile, for example, they are either lying through their teeth so as to hide the fact that they have given an enemy the ability to strike us with its newly created nuclear arsenal or, as I mentioned, simply ignorant:

N. Korea Has Already 'Mock Nuked' Alaska -

With US Government Help, New reports about threat of missile launch omit key factsPaul Joseph Watson/Prison Planet.com | June 19 2006

With the help of the US government, reports today concerning the completed fueling of North Korea's long range Taepodong-2 missile and its planned launch within a month omit several key aspects of the story, including the fact that North Korea already launched a missile that hit Alaska!

In March 2003, the Korea Times reported that the U.S. National Assembly included a startling admission in its final report regarding Pyongyang’s missile capabilities.

A nuclear-capable North Korean test warhead was found in Alaska.

``According to a U.S. document, the last piece of a missile warhead fired by North Korea was found in Alaska,’’ former Japanese foreign minister Taro Nakayama was quoted as saying in the report. ``Washington, as well as Tokyo, has so far underrated Pyongyang’s missile capabilities.’’

A story that would have expected to garner front page headlines for days was completely blacked out in the US, with not one single newspaper choosing to report it.

And the riddiculous declaration that we now face a potentially nuclear-armed North Korea is all Bush's fault? Funny how the Democrats fail to mention the real reason we now face a nuclear-armed Nk is due to their appeasement of North Korea and Ex-President Clinton's legacy: Giving NK that technology/ability!

Under the 1994 Agreed Framework, the Clinton administration agreed to replace North Korea’s domestically built nuclear reactors with light water nuclear reactors. So-called government-funded ‘experts’ stated that light water reactors couldn’t be used to make bombs. Not so according to Henry Sokolski, head of the Non-proliferation Policy Education Centre in Washington:

“LWRs could be used to produce dozens of bombs' worth of weapons-grade plutonium in both North Korea and Iran. This is true of all LWRs -- a depressing fact U.S. policymakers (DEMOCRATS/LIBERALS/CLINTON-APOLOGISTS) have managed to block out.”

Sokolski has also gone on the record as saying, “These reactors are like all reactors, they have the potential to make weapons. So you might end up supplying the worst nuclear violator with the means to acquire the very weapons we're trying to prevent it acquiring.

The facts that North korea was given their nuclear weapons program by Clinton only magnifies another scandal during his Presidency: China-gate!

During Clinton's Presidency, he sold the Chinese Military missile technology they needed to finally be able to strike the United States with its already-existing nuclear arsenal! I have called this action 'TREASON' on numerous occassions but have been vilified by Libs and Clinton-aplologists. Well, Clinton's treasonous acts are now becoming more and more terrifyingly clear/obvious!

Clinton sells the Chines Military long-ranged missile technology.
China provides NK with the long-ranged missile technology.
Clinton provides NK with the nuclear weapons technology/material!

Badaboom, bada-bing!

Clinton provides a nuclear-capable enemy with the means to strike the U.S.

Clinton provides a non-nuclear enemy with a nuclear capability.

The enemy to whom Clinton provided the long-range missile technolgy shared that technology with the other enemy, who not only CAN strike the U.S. with its nukes now but who already HAS struck the U.S. with a missile test in preparation for a potential/future nuclear strike!

The Clinton legacy lives on! :doh

"Welcome" to the World of Nuclar Blackmail? You act like it is something new. Ever hear of MAD?

Wasn't it Pakistan that provided NK with nuke tech? The same Pakistan that developed its own nuke weapons and Bush gave a pass too?

Anyway, I am a lot more concerned about the legacy of an mistaken, unjustified war in Iraq and $3 trillion more debt racked up by the current admin than anything Clinton did.

I guess you would ignore the appeasement of the Clinton administration that led to NK having nuclear technology. I am not surprised that today's Democrats are more 'concerned' with Iraq rather than the fact that Clinton SOLD one nuclear-capable enemy the technology it needed to strike the U.S. with its nukes, who in turn gave that missile technology to the enemy who Clinton armed with nuclear technology/capability!

As far as Nuclear Blackmail, yeah, it is somewhat new. Iran, syria, Al Qaeda - they don't want to blackmail anyone! They want to nuke Israel and the U.S. NK just wants to blackmail the world into getting whetever they want - more attention, food, technolgy, etc....

China-9/11-North korea: The Clinton legacy

HILLARY: Some of the reason we are facing this danger is because of the failed policies of the Bush administration, and I regret deeply their failure to deal with the threat posed by North Korea, and I hope that the administration will now adopt a much more effective response than what they have up until now.

Clinton Blames Bush for North Korea Nuke Test
October 09, 2006 01:54 PM EST

By Sher Zieve – Although the equipment used by North Korea to affect Monday’s nuclear test was actually delivered to it by then President Clinton, with that administration’s Light Water Nuclear Reactors’ program, Sen. Hillary Clinton blamed President Bush. On Monday, Sen. Clinton said that North Korea’s nuclear test was due to “the failed Bush Administration’s policy”.

The agreement with North Korea was made by the Clinton Administration in 1994 and was assisted by former President Jimmy Carter. Predictably, North Korea’s Kim Jong Il deceived the US and did not live up to the agreement. Clinton then offered even more nuclear reactors to the rogue country.

The Clinton Administration also supplied China, North Korea's biggest ally, with ballistic missile navigational technology.

So Mrs. Slick Willey is declaring that North Korea's Nuke test is all Bush's fault? Seems Iriemon thinks so, too.

The real truth is that it all started with Slick willey's treasonous China-gate!

For some reason, the Administration decided in either 1995 or 1996 that missile sanctions would no longer be part of U.S. policy in dealing with China.

Why did U.S. policy change? I don't know the answer to that question, but I urge the Committees to look into it.

We do know the result of the policy change. It gave China a green light to proliferate. Our government's policy on sanctions has enabled Chinese satellite launch companies to sell missiles and missile components to Iran and Pakistan without fear of punishment. Thus, it may be that we are asking the wrong question about how our satellite export policy affects missile proliferation.

Whether or not our satellite exports caused U.S. missile technology to go to China, they have made it easier for Chinese missile technology to go to Pakistan.
http://www.wisconsinproject.org/pubs/testimonies/1998/6-17.html

We've already seen above how Clinton and Carter provided NK with what it needed to acquire nukes. We already know how Slick Willey sold the Chinese military the missile technology it required to finally strike the U.S. with its nuclear arsenal and how china shared that technology with, among others, NK.

Now, we see how China-gate also contributed to 9/11, all part of the Clinton Legacy:

How Chinagate Led to 9/11
By Jean Pearce
FrontPageMagazine.com | May 25, 2004

As the 9/11 Commission tries to uncover what kept intelligence agencies from preventing September 11, it has overlooked two vital factors: Jamie Gorelick and Bill Clinton. Gorelick, who has browbeaten the current administration, helped erect the walls between the FBI, CIA and local investigators that made 9/11 inevitable. However, she was merely expanding the policy Bill Clinton established with Presidential Decision Directive 24. What has been underreported is why the policy came about: to thwart investigations into the Chinese funding of Clinton’s re-election campaign, and the favors he bestowed on them in return.

In April, CNSNews.com staff writer Scott Wheeler reported that a senior U.S. government official and three other sources claimed that the 1995 memo written by Jamie Gorelick, who served as the Clinton Justice Department’s deputy attorney general from 1994 to 1997, created "a roadblock" to the investigation of illegal Chinese donations to the Democratic National Committee. But the picture is much bigger than that. The Gorelick memo, which blocked intelligence agents from sharing information that could have halted the September 11 hijacking plot, was only the mortar in a much larger maze of bureaucratic walls whose creation Gorelick personally oversaw.

It’s a story the 9/11 Commission may not want to hear, and one that Gorelick – now incredibly a member of that commission  – has so far refused to tell. But it is perhaps the most crucial one to understanding the intentional breakdown of intelligence that led to the September 11 disaster.

Nearly from the moment Gorelick took office in the Clinton Justice Department, she began acting as the point woman for a large-scale bureaucratic reorganization of intelligence agencies that ultimately placed the gathering of intelligence, and decisions about what – if anything – would be done with it under near-direct control of the White House. In the process, more than a dozen CIA and FBI investigations underway at the time got caught beneath the heel of the presidential boot, investigations that would ultimately reveal massive Chinese espionage as millions in illegal Chinese donations filled Democratic Party campaign coffers.

So:
Chinagate contributed to 9/11.
Chinagate led to NK getting missile technology.
Clinton/Carter led to NK getting Nuke Capability.

And Mrs. Slick Willey says it is all Bush's fault?! :doh :rofl

In the immortal words of a friend of mine, 'Embrace the 'Suck'', Mrs. Clinton, because you and your husband created/are responsible for it! :2wave:

In all fairness, if it weren't for "nuclear blackmail" we probably wouldn't be the super-power we are today.

What's this world coming to? The UN won't do what we tell them to anymore. Other nations are getting the same nukes we got. I tell ya. The world is going to hell in a handbasket.

Nah, it's just that I've learned that about 95% of your contentions are BS.

Speaking of BS...from the mouth of the Master...:rofl Oops, I forgot - I am supposed to just ignore your stupid personal attacks!

Since when has the U.N. done anythig we have requested lately?

There is a big difference in us having nukes versus 'the rest of the world, Cap - there are definitely certain people/nations who I am sure you would agree should NEVER, EVER have Nukes!

Hitler was one of those that immediately came to mind.

Any nation who calls for the complete destruction of another, adding that the nation they are threatening should be wiped off the face of the earth, and who has helped perpetrators of 9/11 should also never have nukes. If Iran ever acquires nuclear weapons, you KNOW they will be in the hands of Islamic Extremists who WILL use them against israel and, given the chance, the U.S.

Nut jobs like kim Jong ILL definitely fall into the category of 'Those who should NOT have Nukes'!

There is also a big difference between our enemies getting nukes and the ability to strike our country own their own as opposed to our own (EX) President selling our enemies the technology to develop nukes and strike us!

Exactly.

I agree with you on the rest of your post as well however, the rest of the world probably does not. Therein, sir, lies the problem don't you think?

I think you are right, Cap.

I also think that politicians like (D) Congresswoman Clinton should be thinking about how best to handle the challenges that we face today rather than point fingers and propose at whose feet the responsibility/blame should lie. (That is our job on this board, anyway! :rofl)

Politicians spend way too much time thinking about appeasing voters, kissing up to lobbyists, and blaming each other instead of coming up with a plan to do what is right and fix today's problems!

Going off on a side thought (Adult ADD, ya know  ) - some mistakes in life can be easily overcome, like accidentally walking into the ladies room in a foreign country becuase you can't read the labels on the door, while others can never be overcome, like *herpes. While I hope today's situation with terrorists, Iran, NK, etc is not a form of the latter, the good news is that we can learn from BOTH types of mistakes......

Hopefully we will learn from our mistakes and that the results we are reaping from the past will not be terminal.

In my humble opinion, the dems are too stupid to even come up with a plan and the GOP'rs come up with stupid plans.

One thing in favor of the GOP, IMHO, at least they try to come with a plan even if it is usually a bad one.

How 'bout you and me running for office EZ? We'll come up with something.

An Escalade in every garage and a beer in every hand. :rofl

I'll be your VP anyday, cap!
