guess Clinton will do whatever he has to, to get another 8 years in the White House, although he will be the first First Husband

Bad Form Slick Willy

And good for Clinton, because he was right, and IMHO, Reagan and Bush Sr. should have gone after Clinton too, and screw the decorum. Meanwhile, one disgrace for a president follows another one. When will we ever learn not to vote for shady politicians?

So you chastice him for being honest? The current neocons in the White House ought to take a lesson from him. He might have had a hardon for an intern at the wrong time but at least he didn't start any wars on 'faulty intelligence'.

I guess this means no more commercials about relief with HW Bush.

I guess once your done being President, you forfeit your right to speak out about anything. Yeah that makes complete sense.

Don't worry about what they're saying...They have no clue about etiquette...

Apparently, neither does Clinton...

Don't forget what happens when you half-heartedly support the military, then leave them left to hang...

What kind of hawk was that "down" again?

Good thing that HW Bush never attacked Clinton.....wait a second. He did attack Clinton once Clinton was in office.

-- In an appearance at a San Antonio grade school on Oct. 13, 1993, Bush expressed concern that the humanitarian mission to Somalia that he had launched nearly a year earlier was being "messed up" by the Clinton administration. "If you're going to put somebody else's son or daughter into harm's way, into battle, you've got to know the answer to three questions," Bush told the students. He said the president has to know what the mission is, "how they are going to do it," and "how they're going to get out of there." Several news reports noted that Bush's comments appeared to violate his earlier pledge not to publicly criticize Clinton during his first year in office. (The New York Times, 10/14/93; The Boston Globe, 10/23/93)

-- In an interview published in the February 1994 issue of Washingtonian magazine, Bush criticized the Clinton administration's purported lack of a "general strategy" in the foreign policy arena and the "start-and-stop" failures it had exhibited. Bush pointed to the Clinton administration's handling of the situation in Haiti as an example and also criticized Clinton for his policy toward Bosnia:

"The specific point of difference I'd make with the current administration, however, is that when you send a US ship loaded with military personnel to go ashore, you don't say, 'They're going ashore' unless you mean it. And you don't get turned back by a group of thugs standing on the dock.

"What that does -- starting and stopping -- is weaken the image of the United States as a strong, resolute leader. It was devastating, sent a horrible signal, when that troop ship was turned back -- a signal not just to Latin America, but to Europe and elsewhere. Where I find most fault in the Clinton foreign policy, the area where I find room for criticism, is this pattern of start-and-stop, start-and-stop.

Obviously, Clinton feels that way. Did you see him invading Iraq. Bush had that on his agenda prior to 9/11 as 9/11 has NOTHING to do with this invasion. We should be looking hot and heavy for the man responsible for 9/11 bin laden. But it appears that we are not. Instead we are wasting tons of lifes and Money in iraq.

I wish Colleen Powell would run for pres. He would win hands down. Powell did not support this war. He just has enough class to keep his mouth shut, but you sure don't hear him backing it.

misleading
the military, and therefor its commander-in-chief, have war plans on how to invade every country on the face of the earth
so to say it was on his agenda is bunk

What is the commander-in-chief's plan on finding bin laden?

No, but since Bush has blamed Clinton for a lot of things (rightly or wrongly), after a while, it's hard to respect someone who would just take it.

Yeah, Bush has been blaming all his faults on Clinton even though here it is 2005. Clinton has not been in office for over six years. "The economy is not Bush's fault, of course it is Clinton's"

just because the US does not have 1,000,000 soldiers in the Pakistan/Afghanistan border region, does not mean we are not atively looking for him.
we are.
we just are not following the Soviets mistakes of applying too much man power in the region.
Bin Laden has been neutralized, and is on the run/hiding in a cave
put aside your need for instant gratification and you will see things are being done
has all been done flawlessly? NO, but what military campaign ever has

they get run out of politics by the shady ones very quickly, early on in their career
sad but true

could you jar my memory as to when/where Dubya blamed his woes on Clinton.
Dubya seems to have been very respectful of Clinton, so far as i can recall

Dubya was incredibly gracious at the Hanging of Slick Willies Portrait

Perhaps one day science will be able to create one.

Hussein was hiding underground as well and we found him, OH, but Bush wanted him bad enough. He threatened his dads life. We are not looking hard enough for bin laden.....
