Clergy Take Stand on Social Studies

The clergy may have their opinion, but they have no right to enforce it.

Separation of Church and State protects us from allowing them to force their social agenda upon us.

I believe the article is stating that those particular clergymen favor separation of church and state, and that they are against the conservatives on the school board trying to ignore that doctrine in their social studies textbooks.
