I'm not getting my hopes up about fusion. Too many false alarms in the past. But oil and coal have got to go.

If controlled fusion reactors eventually rely on AI to maintain that control, they'll need some failsafes in case someone tries to hack the AI and make it do something else.

I think Fusion will eventually get there. Oil and coal will have to remain until alternatives are ready to come online.

There are a number of promising technologies that are acceleration the chances for fusion power. However, until it is commercialized, it's all vapor ware.
