Cranley, who attended John Carroll University in Cleveland and Harvard Law and Harvard Divinity school, has been in Cincinnati politics for two decades. His background includes several stints on the City of Cincinnati's council, as well as an unsuccessful challenge to long time GOP congressman Steven Chabot. He is entering the Democratic Party's primary (there is another candidate already) seeking to challenge Mike Dewine-a long time politician who often displeases the GOP majority in the state house. Cranley has a reputation as a fairly moderate Democrat who is term-limited from running as mayor again. I won't vote for him because of some of his idiotic comments on guns but he will probably be a formidable challenge to DeWine who is seen by a RINO by many Republicans and who is not exactly a conservative

DeWine already has two challengers in the Republican primary but I am not that familiar with them but evidently the OGOP is putting their money behind DeWine. As of Jan. 2021 to date, they have filled DeWine's coffers with $870,968.

Imagine spending all of that money on a Harvard education just to throw your best years away on a City Council and mayoral career.

Will you vote for DeWine?

He may have independent wealth that allow him to do what he wants.
