What type of 'connection' do religious people expect from other religious people and the church-leaders? Is there a standard of appropriate actions to take and so forth that should be adhered to - somewhat like some basic guidelines for church membership?
My Dad (is a minister - going on 40 years, now) expects people to keep the church up-to-date with contact info (phone number, address) . . . and he expects people to tell him why they decide to leave his church and go to another church, or stop attending church altogether.
All the years of him being my Dad - I still don't understand the 'church expectations' that he has of other people. One woman didn't tell him she was going to start attending another church, she just stopped showing up, and it nearly broke his heart.
