My guess is that more and more teens will move away from the church.
Won't matter. This court has a case next week that might strip all federal agencies of rulemaking, which would include Dep Ed rules about funding and teaching religious doctrine in public schools. My guess is it more and more teens will move away from the church.
I don't care if one hundred percent didn't want it overturned. If it's against the Constitution, it needs to be overturned.Seventy percent of americans didn't want R v W overturned and yet it was the states who started this fiasco so it seems the states went against the will of the people. Next.
They passed their Fugitive Slave Act and the Conservatives said BS we are not going to abide by it. So the progressives started a war to get the changes they wanted. S
We are seeing the same things today. Progressives are threating Succession because they are opposed to the Supreme Court Ruling. Progressives only want their way or the highway.
Arguing about who were the "conservatives" versus the "progressives" in the 1860s is like talking arguing about which nations were socialist versus capitalist during the Middle Ages. It makes little sense because these did not exist as coherent ideologies, much less political movements at the time.
Good Lord, enough of the drama, already!!! Abortion rights were simply handed back to the States where they were, back closer to the people to decide. The real fascists are the ones accusing others of being fascists, just like they do with racism, or insurrectionists, etc......they always accuse others of the things they actually are.....stunning to see.
Extremely well written. Not sure where this came from but true it is.. >>
For decades, conservative White evangelicals have championed a rugged, even ruthless "warrior" masculinity. Believing that "gender difference" was the foundation of a God-given social order, evangelicals taught that women and men were opposites. God filled men with testosterone so that they could fulfill their God-ordained role as leaders, as protectors and providers. Testosterone made them aggressive, and it gave them a God-given sex drive. Men needed to channel their aggression, and their sex drives, in ways that strengthened both family and nation.
Generations of evangelicals consumed millions of books and listened to countless sermons expounding these "truths." Within this framework, there was ready forgiveness for male sexual misconduct. It was up to women to avoid tempting men who were not their husbands and meet the sexual needs of men who were. When men went astray, there was always a woman to blame. For men, misdeeds could be written off as too much of a good thing or perhaps a necessary evil, as evidence of red-blooded masculinity that needed only to be channeled in redemptive directions."
Basically evangelicals use the King David excuse on Trump, Herschel Walker etc --In the bible, King David sent Bathsheba's husband to his death, so he could have her as his own. But because King David, a warrior king, was doing God's will politically and militarily all was forgiven.
Abortion was legal and widespread for the men who wrote the Constitution.
Nope. Not that, either.
You got any more nonsense you want to toss against the wall?
