which was discovered at an early stage during a hysterectomy. She is undergoing chemotherapy now. Her younger sister Jeanne, also a former touring pro-died at 62 from the same disease. However, the reports are that Chris should recover due to the early diagnosis. She is widely considered one of the 5 or so greatest women's tennis players in US history

Me too. I was sort of shocked when the report noted her little sister died of this cancer. I follow pro tennis pretty closely and I am amazed it never made the news-or at least prominently. True, Jeanne Evert was hardly a superstar but her mere association with someone as legendary as Chris, normally would have garnered far more press
