Chinese Chicken Processors Are Cleared to Ship to U.S.

So I'm done with processed chicken. Food lobbies have been fighting hard so that we won't know where our food actually comes from. Fortunately I can get a job that will allow me to buy more of my foodstuffs from places like WholeFoods or Trader Joes. I don't want to risk getting any food from China, home of bird flu and the business practice of using cardboard as a meat filler.

Good grief© The Chinese are coming! The Chinese are coming!

Is nothing sacred?

I wish I had a link to the Tyson film but it was part of an info kit (my friend is a food buyer at a Casino) and it was the most amazing (and gruesome) thing I ever saw and I've seen some strange things.

Faces of Death included lots of meat processing footage, and though it was from the late 70's, it was still mostly automated. In fact, I think the only job they did by hand hand hanging the chicken by their feet

Ys! I remember now. The people who did the hanging were a clan or tribe from Mexico that specialized in this for decades. The rest was all spinning machinery.
