No, it isn’t. The median age of China is 38.4 years; the median age of the US is 38.1 years.

EDIT I looked at the wrong numbers. China: 38.4 US: 38.5

Robotics, China is moving heavily into industrial robotics.

Old workers watching robots do all the heavy work, while they just have to repair and adjust when required

China, like Japan, South Korea and Italy all face demographic issues in the future. An aging population Japan and Italy will get hit first hard by it. South Korea and China about a decade later.

The three East Asian countries have low birth rates and low immigration, (China would be the most likely to allow immigration especially from south east Asia)

Japan and Italy already have populations that are decreasing due to aging populations. But Japan will do better than Italy as they will embrace robots to replace workers as required
