The Washington Examiner first highlighted the video, which was shared last week by Global Times, an English-language Chinese newspaper, showing the backlash Trump received for referring to the coronavirus as the "Chinese virus" in reference to the disease's origin.


The montage features multiple media figures, prominent Democrats and celebrities critical of the rhetoric.

Two wrongs don't make a right, Trump isn't saying it in order to be hah... Accurate about anything and typically you don't call it by the entire country, but by the specific region or place where it's from, calling it the Wuhan or Hubei Virus would be more appropriate if that was really his intention.

China and specifically the Chinese Government is wholly to blame for the virus coming into being, there can be no doubt about that.

Now it may genuinely just be a diplomatic pissing off contest and so I for the most part do not care except that it may have potential to spawn racial hatred against Chinese or Asian Americans and foreign Chinese and Asians who have nothing to do with what occurred.

As usual though, your outrage is entirely misplaced or disproportionate to other things that SHOULD concern you but don't, such as the failure of Trumps government in actually dealing with this crisis.
